LS_COLORS on your commandline in realtime as you type.

This is based on nicoulaj's zsh-syntax-highlighting project. I've taken the initial version of his script and added highlighting for filetypes and a few other things. The filetype highlighting rules are taken from my LS_COLORS project.

This will only work in terminals capable of displaying 256 colors.

zsh-syntax-highlighting-filetypes's Issues

LS_COLOR naming mismatch

This project uses ~/.LS_COLORS but the quick install for LS_COLORS stores the file as .dircolors. It would be better if they used the same path/name for an easier installation for people who can't or just don't want to have to look at the source code.

Can't get it to work in iTerm on OS X Mavericks

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't get ZSH filetypes up and running.

here is my conf:

plugins=(common-aliases git osx brew brew-cask bower node npm nvm rbenv colorize zsh-syntax-highlighting-filetypes)

Broken link in `README.md`

The README.md file contains this broken link:

https://github.com/nicoulaj/zsh-syntax-highlighting

Should be:

https://github.com/zsh-users/zsh-syntax-highlighting

Use as a plugin for the original zsh_syntax_highlighting

It appears that this project is meant to replace the old zsh_syntax_highlighting project, of which it is a fork.

Is it possible to use it as just another highlighter to be used inside the original zsh_syntax_highlighting?

Add instructions

Please add instructions. I have no idea how to set this up. Any dependencies? What do I put where? Any configuration?
