max-net's Issues

back messages?

Hi,

First of all: terrific work!
Super elegant solution to networking in max.
(the built-in udp objects have been very limiting)

Question: would it be possible to implement back messages to udp-send?
On the receiving end, it is already able to display the IP and port...
I think you know where I am going with this: easy hole punching :)

All the best,

Not an issue - just a question

Hello,

I'm a complete beginner in this kind of stuffs, so please don't mishandle my question :)

Is this script supposed to work today, without installing something else in Max ?

When I launch max-net.maxpat, the console says :
node.script: Node script not ready can't handle message trim

And when I send UDP or TCP messages from another computer, nothing appears and/or happens.

I precise : I'm a absolute beginner in that kind of stuff.
I use Mac OS Big Sur on the Mac sending UDP, and the Mac running Max (supposing to receive the messages).

I use fix IP.
I haven't open any port on any Mac, I don't know if I'm supposed to do it (my firewalls are OFF).

Thank you and sorry for my stupid questions.
