PySLP: Python bindings for the OpenSLP API SLP (Service Location Protocol) is a framework for the discovery and selection of network services. The procol has been defined in the IETF RFC 2608. The API implemented by OpenSLP is defined for the C programming language by RFC 2614. PySLP provides set of functions similar to those specified in the RFC 2614. Due to the Python nature there are some divergences from the RFC definitions. Most notably the functions never return an error code but raise a runtime exception on SLP API call failures. The SLPFree() function is not implemented in the Python API at all for obvious reasons.

Releasing this package to Pypi
Hi,
is there any chance you might want to release python-libslp as a Python package to Pypi? That would make it much more easily consumable for Python programmers.
Porting to Python3
Hi, i'd like to use your python-libslp in a my project which use Python3.
I'm trying to port the code myself but i'm not a Python expert. At the moment your code (modified for Python3) compile but "import slp" in test.py fail because slp is not defined.
I guess that something in your installation procedure should be modified as done for the code, but i'm very inexpert.
Can you either make a porting of your code or help me in some other way?

Relation with pypi pyslp pure Python3 module
There is a module with the same name, for Python3 only, on pypi:

Is there any hope to merge the two modules ? It would be fantastic to have a pure Python module, for Python2 and 3 also.
