In the list of available countries, after Liberia we should see:
Somalia
South Sudan
Irak
These are the three likely next countries for which we are going to populate data sets
You should also remove "Palestinian territories", Portugal", "Russia", "Japan" and "Jersey" from the top of the list and place them back in alphabetical order
When setting up the style, rules should be created according to two different variables (separately): 1 rule for setting up size of points, 1 rule for setting up the color of point. This way, colors and size would depend on two different variables.
Only one variable can be used for categorical rules. Both colors and size depend on the same values.
This is a suggestion in case this is doable because I don't know if it is complicated to make different rules to interact. I think that it might be very useful for point data.
Selecting a point on map where 2 polygons are located should result in both polygons' data being visualized on the pop-up windows.
Only one polygon's data is shown. Smaller polygons that are totally recovered by others are impossible to be queried.
This works for point data. I guess the same solution might apply to polygons as well.

Text content of source's metadata should have white lines if they were entered in the metadata.
When the source's metadata of a view is visualized, all the text fields are formatted in a way that no white lines are present.
When you launch the AFG story map, the three buttons in the upper-left corner have wrong tooltips and should be changed to appropriate ones
In edit sources, multiple source item should appear.
Only one source item is visible.
When the layer is deactivated the attributes continue to appear on the map
Once the language is changed, the title and abstract change the language, but the labels (style view) do not change. Turn off view and turn on to display the legend correctly.
It should load it
Right after the drop on the map, an error occurred.
The original file is meant to be in WGS84 (from metadata) but it's coordinate system was actually undefined.
So, after manipulating the file with ArcGis and dragging it in Map-X I got an error that stated something like "the extension of the data is wrong".
With Thomas I tried to define its coord system on QGIS and we still got an error. This time it was just stated to check the console.
As last try, we have saved the file as geojson on QGIS but we still got the same error to be checked in the console.

To select role, a dropdown menu should appear
As in the V2, a slide bar to change the opacity of each view individually.
The return of this feature would be great for taking screenshots from MAP-X.
Opening twice the same source should trigger the form twice.
The form does not appear: I have to select another source and switch back to the first one to have the form to show up.

In Tools, the text of the buttons is not displayed.
Impossible to upload layers

For the circle, or a simple line, or whatever form, I wonder whether the solution is with the "Animate a line" example of Mapbox GL/JS:
https://www.mapbox.com/mapbox-gl-js/example/animate-a-line/
We could simply circle the area of interest to look at. This could mean doing an ad-hoc addition in the code of the story map, but this is worth it for some our our future key story map.
View with layer of type line (rivers, road) should disappear when the view is toggled.
The layer is not removed when the view is toggled.
Display Edit source and Add view buttons
This two buttons are not display correctly
...
This only happens after login. After refreshing mapx the two buttons are displayed correctly.
Layer Colombie-corruption is not displayed
...
The name of the source should change after saving the source meta data
The title is not updated after the text is updated in form
Make clearer and intuitive in which language we are working in the view and style form.
Introduce the legend information in other language is not very intuitive.
Introduce a bottom in the view and style form to change/switch the language. Or a label/tag that indicates the active language.
1.Change language
2. Fill view information
3. Fill labels (style information)
4. Change again language to fill the information in other languages
...
Unites are specified sometimes on the label and sometimes on the abstract.
A new field calls “unite” in the view form could standardize where to put the unites.
The information of the Conflict events layer is not displayed properly. For display information is necessary to zoom in or out but in certain scale, half of the information is not displayed as is shown the image.

This is the only point type layer in Afghanistan.
In Congo and Colombia the same layer exists but it works properly. Therefore this two layers are less heavy:
3.8 Mo Congo
5.7 Mo Colombia
27.1 Mo Afghanistan
When a view is selected for showing on map, the entire set of data should be visualized
Only a selection of data is visualized if a view is selected after a selection of data was applied through the pop-up window. The issue is that the selection remains active even after unselecting the view and reselecting it afterward. This might be an issue if people select a view and do not remember that they previously selected data through the pop-up window.
Reload the view entirely every time a view is selected
When filling the metadata form, under "Annexes" it might be useful to also have an option for dropping files that are not stored under URLs.
Only URLs are accepted
It could be great to have some colour palette in vector tiles style form
The text should be in accordance with the source's type.
Regardless of the type of data uploaded in MAP-X, the text is "Upload this GeoJSON"
It would be interesting to be able to easily add youtube videos in a story map without having to go through the JSON editor. A button to add a youtube link would be a very user friendly solution.
We shuold not see the "xxx" country in the country dropdown list
...
The titles are not so clear. Could be clearer and standardises if the names are changed for those used in the Geonetwork.
In the metadata forms change the name of:
“Source” to “Distribution information”
“Sources” to “OnLine resources”
Eventually create a new field call, “Organisation name”. Sometimes the distributor is not the same organisation that created the data.
I cannot login to the platform
E.g. Date format are restricted to DD/MM/YYY format. Sometimes, this is not wanted
Create a comment section to add some complement to explain some specific issue.
This issue concerns the new version -> https://mapx-dev.unepgrid.ch/app/test/
When dragged and dropped in MAP-X, a new source should appear in the left panel.
When dragged and dropped in MAP-X, nothing appears in the left panel. We must move to another country and then go back to the one where the file was dropped to see the new source.
I cannot connect to the PostGIS.
It would be relevant to add a new set of metadata for each view which contains at least:
When we are in MAP-X we have no knowledge of the specific author of each view.
It is therefore difficult to know who to contact if one has a question about a view or even an issue to report to the author.
Add a new section in the view metadata
TBD by the MAP-X team
User-friendly issues on edit sources > Select source. Only one layer is displayed on the list with the scroll roll. Should be better if the list of available sources is longer.
Also, the source that is by default doesn’t display the form to edit the source. It’s necessary to search and select one on the list to display the form, even if the layer you want to edit is the one that is by default.
if I resize my window, especially on large screen, I want the picture to span the full width, whatever the height of the screen
It looks OK when the window is small/medium, but on my big Mac screen it does not span full width
...
Once the layer is dragged in MAP-X the information of the layer is displayed on the map, but is not possible to start the uploading of the layer. The loading bar does not appear.

Geojson larger than 40000 KB takes at least 30 minutes to upload.

Layer “Sampling point location” in Congo: is not possible to change the size of the points in the style form.
The data relative to each point or other kind of data that is selected on map when overposed should be separated by some space or thicker lines. It is not straightforward understanding how many objects were selected. It would also be extremely cool if while moving the pointer above the pop-up window the point to which that particular line is associated change color (to identify which point is that particular line of data associated to).
when 2 points are clicked their data is shown on the pop-up windows without any space of limit between the lines of data relative to each point. This behavior makes difficult spotting which data is associated to which point and understanding how many points were selected.
A scale and a north arrow must be added to MAP-X on views, screenshots & prints.
Give access to reviewers for some of the view layers.
For each view, a "share" button would get a link containing the name of the view and the user's token. This link allows you to view only this view without having to identify yourself.
Add a small "box" (maybe at the bottom of the screen) with the x,y coordinates of the cursor.
This "box" could be dynamic (as in QGIS) and could allow the user to enter coordinates to access a specific area in MAP-X.
