What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Browsing the media list is slow.
2. Selecting a title and starting the play, will not load the movie till I try to exit.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
on ps3 and samsung tv the list loads fast and plays movies right away. On the Sony the connection is wired, the listing takes long time and getting the movie to load is even longer. The movie doesn't start loading till I try to exit then it starts loading. When it does start playing its is sometimes not from the start

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
UMS 3.0.0 on server 2008 R2 64bit.

Please provide any additional information below.
All three devices are on a wired network. Plex media server works much faster for loading the list and playing the movies, but would rather use UMS.

The creator of the issue reported that it has been resolved by using a different renderer. It would be great to know which renderer resolved the issue.
