Possible Mistake in Funding Calculation

Section 3.2 states, "if a grant of 10 million USD was won by a team of five PIs, each PI can only support one student for four years," but I don't understand this calculations.

When I calculate, I get that a four-year grant of 10 million USD shared by five professors would allow for five students per professor, as follows:

10 million USD = 5 profs * 5 students/prof * 100000 USD/(student * year) * 4 years

Is this a typo or am I misunderstanding how budgeting/funding works?

Handling academic dishonesty: more than one staff member in the room

In the handling academic dishonesty section I would strongly recommend ensuring that there is more than one member of staff in the meeting where this is discussed with the student so that you have a witness to support you if the student later makes a complaint. I would also recommend letting the student know that they can bring someone else with them to support them (as it is often a very stressful process for them). We have our own detailed (and imperfect) process but I think those two things should be done everywhere.

5.5 Managing collaborations: Yes when no is meant

"collaborations makes it hard to say yes, especially if you respect and admire the folks asking yes." -> "collaborations makes it hard to say no, especially if you respect and admire the folks asking." (first yes to a no and drop second yes)
