[Question] How does the routing works?

First of all - thank you for this, it is of great help when starting a theme.

I am new to Hugo (but have coded since 1994) and I cannot understand how the routing works in your theme. I am sure that this is something that is explained somewhere in Hugo docs but I cannot find it anywhere. Feel free to RTFM me with the link :)

Specifically, my problem is that I do not see where the main skeleton for the final web page is - that one that will build <header>, <body>, etc. I expected to find there the logic of switching between views: what to parse when looking at the remaining page, what at a blog entry, what at a standalone page, etc.

I see https://github.com/Vimux/blank/tree/master/layouts/index.html, but it is just the definition of one of the main blocks. There are other such definitions in https://github.com/Vimux/blank/tree/master/layouts/_default for instance.

Where do I code the logic/decision to use one file (with the def of main) or another?

I expect that some "routing" (not dynamic one - a routing that is then compiled into a set of pages with links to other pages) must be defined somewhere where you say that the page / is generated from <something> and a page /blog:hello-world is generated from <something else>. The thing that drives me crazy is that I know it's probably simple and I see the correct structure when looking,g at actual pages through DevTools.

Unable to find archetypes directory for theme "blank"

Dear Vimux,

I'm using your cool theme as a git submodule on my fresh Hugo installation and I've noticed that when I create a new post with command "hugo new posts/name-of-my-post.md" I get the annoying error message "Unable to find archetypes directory for theme "blank"" (even if anyway the post is correctly created)

Reading here:
devcows/hugo-universal-theme#16
it seems this kind of error message occurs because the theme didn't have a archetypes directory...

I was wondering if you are aware of it and maybe you want to add an empty archetypes directory in the repository to avoid this error...

Thanks for your good work

.Now will be deprecated with Hugo v0.20

.Now will be deprecated replaced with the now template function in Hugo v0.20 which eventually will be released on Monday. It's likely that the deprecation will cause builds to fail.

How to add a menu?

Thanks for creating this, it's really helped me get started with Hugo. Being really new to Hugo however, it's not intuitive to me how to add a menu. Looks like it should be added in the config file? Would be great to have an example.

_index.md won't show content

Apologies if this is something super obvious... but I have a file _index.md with only a title and some content, but instead of the content it just shows "1 of 0" at the top when the theme is this one (blank). I downloaded the theme in the Hugo quick start guide and the content of the page shows fine.

To clarify, here's the structure:

/content/subfolder/_index.md
/content/subfolder/post.md

And when I load localhost:1313/subfolder, it just shows the 1 of 0 at the top.

Thanks.
