I will translate to Serbian in both latin and cyrillic scripts. This issue is just for tracking that the translation is in progress as of 28.06.2022. and to connect to PR when it’s done.

What do you think of building HTML out of MD automatically in CI/CD and hosting it on the github pages? is there a reason why you didn't invest time into it?

If this was not done due to missing time and otherwise you find it to be a good idea- I could contribute my time as I find the list of pages absolutely awesome.

Using something like material theme for mkdocs one could also generate multi-lingual documentation with language selector, which will avoid the need to maintain the list of links on each translation (might require re-structuring the project- i do not have much experience with that aspect pof mkdocs yet).

Pros:

• easier to read and better navigation on the page (using the material theme in mkdocs at least, but there are other tools on the market)
• better looking than plain MD
• easier to share with non-technical people (I was talking about this repo with my non-technical friend and it was cumbersome to
  explain what github is and I'm not sure the person will look it up due to misperceived complexity)
• less maintenance effort adding cross-reference links on multiple existing translations, when a new one is added

Cons:

• additional effort for the maintenance of the project (extra technology involved: mkdocs, github actions)
• potentially need to re-structure the project (but maybe one can do it dynamically with a script... i'm not sure... it it would be easier to name the files with the standard language abbreviations)
• need to make decisions on the colour scheme, etc :)

IMO there should be a section on privacy in the workplace with questions about what monitoring or contrary - privacy-preserving implements there are in the organization.

Ex. are devices actively monitored (screenshots, keyloggers), can workers be filmed, taken photos of and under what conditions? Something along these lines?

I wrote this a few years ago. Since then I changed these questions quite a lot (I need to write a new post) but the concept is still the same. Whenever I'm going to interviews I never go as I will be the interviewee.

I'm writing them here for reference and maybe you will find some interesting enough to include in your list.

• What will my role be? At first and after few months?
• What specific project I will be working on?
• Software/hardware that I will get?
• Can I participate on/run side projects?
• Is there a budget for conferences, further education, bonus?
• What is the history of this company and how do you see the future?
• Will you measure my productivity and how?

After four years of work, I've summarized the questions I must to ask:

1. overwork how long can you take a taxi, how to submit an expense account? What happens after 12 o 'clock? When was your last weekend at work?

2. boyfriend/girlfriend surgery, just at this time the company project online, what will you do?

3. how to assess technical staff, what punishment award mechanism?

Many companies now offer general "education and training" budgets and these can be used on things like books, classes, and special training which may not result in a certification. It's worth asking about a budget like this as it can be a major QOL improvement to any employee.

For me the issue of climate change is very important for the job decision!

Question Suggestion:
What does the company do to fulfill its social responsibility for the fight against climate change?

Maybe it is a little to passiv aggressiv when the company doesn't do anything about it.

Please suggest other formulation, so we can discuss them. Maybe also more specific question could be derived from that. For example: Is the company using renewable energy as electricity source?

Would be great to add this kind of question to the list :)

Inside the translation folder the "portuguese.md" file refers to brazilian portuguese, which is not the only portuguese in the world. Just "portuguese" commonly refers to the language used in Portugal.

My proposal is to rename the file to pt-BR.md as it is usually the term used for brazilian portuguese locale.
