Swiping up or down on start screen or long press does nothing on ny vivoactive 4...
hi there
firstly, tyvm for developing this app. It's appreciated and needed on the platform.
Don't know if this is a bug or wasn't designed to work like this or might be a feature request.
I've tried to create a meditation session which has a warm-up period, followed by a number of equal length periods (mindfulness of breathing, just in case you know it).
Goal is:
10 mins 'settling' period, followed by 4 x 6 mins periods
I've configured:
time = 34 mins
alert 1 = one off of 10 mins
alert 2 = repeat every 6 mins
This results in the alerts stacking, rather than firing in sequence i.e. the alerts are not at the following minutes 10, 6, 6, 6, 6 but 6, 4, 2, 6, 6, 6
At least i'm going on the alert graphic for the session (see photo). One sees the 10 min alert, then when you add the repeating one, you get an alert appearing before the 10 min one and then shortly after.
Am i doing something wrong?
regards,
Gary
When I try to activate a session in meditate, the watch freezes on the IQ screen and shows an Exclamation point. Just freezes. App used to work, but upgraded software for the vivoactive 3
Hi! GREAT app. Is there any chance that it could default to (or have an option for) turning the backlight on the watch face down / off while the activity is underway? On my device (vivoactive 4) the screen is on and bright the whole time, and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off. For me it's unnecessary, somewhat distracting, and prob a battery drain in longer-duration activity. THANKS!
Hello Sir,
Will be possible to send me PRG file to garmindescentmk1?
I have spend 5 hours trying to compile it on ubuntu but had no luck with VScode.
Much appriciated. Worked when ported fenix5plus prg file to it. but lost it unfortunately.
Best,
Tomas
This is a request for more info on the ‘percent stress’ result. It seems to be inversely correlated with actual stress, i.e. lower percentage matches lower hrv. I suspect this is some reading supplied by Garmin, can you link to more info perhaps from them? Thank you
Hello @vtrifonov-esfiddle,
I'd like to port Meditate to Instinct2 and would love to get your thoughts/feedback.
I naively assumed that it would be as simple as adding Instinct2 to the manifest and rebuilding.
Unfortunately that is not the case; Instinct2 has 92k of memory; which is somewhat less than 105kb that is required at peak (at least in the simulator).
There is a thread on Garmin's ConnectIQ forums where I solicit some help in understanding how to reduce memory consumption. It looks like I have to really understand what's going on with the app before I can make a proper effort. My initial assumption was that removing some assets should be sufficient, but I wasn't successful.
In any case, if you're so inclined I'd love some thoughts on how to drop the extra 15k of memory.
Otherwise, my plan is:
Thoughts?
PS: Forgot to thank you for making this app in the first place, and making it open source! Thanks and much appreciated 👍
Thank you for this app, I'm using it almost daily.
I find that when the activity syncs to Connect on my iPhone (iOS), the 'Activity Type' is set to cardio. I suspect (with no experience programing CIQ apps) that this is the 'Sport Type / Subtype' in the Session record of the FIT file, and might be a default (?) setting when it is initialized. The type can be edited within Mobile Connect, with yoga and 'breathwork' as relevant options. It would be preferable to have this match the Yoga / Meditation (breathwork) setting for the activity on the watch without having to edit.
After editing the change is shown in Garmin [Mobile | Web] Connect, but external systems (like FitnessSyncer.com) seem to only get the unmodified file.
Forerunner 645M if that's relevant.
Would love to see support for fenix 7. I would happily work on this myself if you would accept pull requests.
hi there
I can't see this as a stat. Am i missing it?
i understand that stress IQ % is an experimental metric (and not the average stress, as i hoped/thought).
I'm using current build of meditate on the connect IQ market place (it says 2.5.0). Can't find anything in garmin express which confirms what's installed on my watch. Sorry if there's a way to do this.
I'm using a fenix 6s with 16.70 software
regards,
Gary
HI there, any planned support for external HR?
Thank you for this app! I can’t seem to access global settings on my watch? The screen looks like it changes but just creates an identical new screen. Holding in menu button just starts the session. Thanks!
Would it be possible to add support for the Forerunner 55?
Hi,
Thanks for this app. I really like it.
The 2 annoyances I have are that I can't pause a session and I can't change the global settings (I assume the VA 3 has touch screen while Fenix 5 don't.
Is it possible to implement changes to allow these?
Thanks!
While uploading in Connect, I noticed there is a new sport "Meditation" now, can that be added to the supported types?

hi!
I'm not able to use the app, I'm always getting the message above. I tried to reinstall it and to restart the watch, but not working here :(
