walletconnect-website's Issues

Dependency problems on emberjs, modules not found: http https os stream

I'm trying to setup a very basic ember application to understand how to use the library but as soon as I import it the compilation fail with errors like this one:

ERROR in ./node_modules/cipher-base/index.js
Module not found: Error: Can't resolve 'stream' in '/ember1/node_modules/cipher-base'

I get the same error for other modules: http, https and os

Is there some external dependency or polyfill to add by hand? how?

One video is worth of thousand pictures

As WalletConnect concept is still new, especially to the end-users, it might make sense to do some PR and education effort on the website. Especially now when WalletConnect is gaining traction and the community is facing more direct end user conversations. I would propose doing an animation or a live acting demo video that shows the two use cases

  • From a dApp web page to a mobile wallet
  • From a desktop browser to a mobile wallet

... and then have this video on the landing page.

Videos take more effort, but they are impactful especially with the international audience with weaker English skills.

Now my question is that it might take some co-ordination to get this forward. We would probably need to write a script and then source an animator or a professional video editor to make it slick. If we can find one from Ethereum community that would be great.

Asking a feedback on this idea here.

Website polishing

The website needs some more polishing and life to it. It needs some back information and maybe a demo video built-in and some code snippets.

Adding a Discord, Docs links, etc will also help guide newcomers

Extend dapp information

I think it would be great to add the following infos to dApps:

  • chains used
  • EIPs used

what do you think?

Feedback

Add Terra and Algorand to list of supported blockchains list.

Scam alert

Hi,

Just wanted to alert you to these scammers: https://dapp-walletsconnect.com
They're using some of your website code and your name and brand to scam people, as seen in this Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/pdct9t/i_heard_you_guys_like_to_waste_scammer_time/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

It's requesting people to enter their seed phrases. Perhaps one could connect a wallet with a small amount of crypto to follow its subsequent transactions after entering the seed phrase to the scammers addresses... Not really sure if anything can be done about it, except letting your users know and spread awareness ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Kind regards,
rbgtk

Website still advertises Telegram

After going through the hassle of connecting to Telegram and using up a SIM I got a message that Telegram is no longer supported. It would be a good idea to remove the Telegram link from the website.
