Currently the thesis.pdf is under core/web/html/thesis. The website is moving to openrocket.github.io website and therefore core/web will be decommissioned.

thesis.pdf should be moved to core/docs along where the techdoc lives.

Build functionality from updates.php into an openrocket.info web API.

• Document API with Swagger.io / Open API
• Node API Service for openrocket.info (probably api.openrocket.info)
• Method for tracking inter-release change logs
• Build tool to automate the deployment of a new release and update the 'current version' API

Move current htp templates to a new SSG and incorporate into the build system. Helps to satisfy: #1

• Audit current site and cull unused assets.
• Ensure that we are using community assets where possible (e.g. CC icons should come from their site)
  • Creative Common Logos
• Remove Valid XHTML Logo
• Link to Thesis (see #4) and TechDoc PDF in the repositories that manage them rather than embed copies of them in the website static assets.
• Publish with GitHub Pages
• Content Audit - Review the site and identify the content elements.
• Propose content and structure changes
• Port to Jekyll
• Design
• HTML Proofer CI with Travis Covered in #1 (close this issue)

Known issues remaining:

• Static information pages ( #2 ) e.g. Marketing, Tutorial, and Developer Engagement documents
• Dynamic pages e.g. 'Live update checking' and bug reports. (openrocket#260)
• Hosting of Binaries ( #3 )
• Build and DevOps- HTML Proofer CI with Travis
• Coordinate the move of the Thesis ( #4 )
