Do you like an idea to add Promise support? Will you merge a PR which adds it?

And why the lib is abandoned? Is there any better alternative?

iOS Chrome reports itself as WebSQL capable (openDatabase in window returns true), but when trying to use it, it throws a SECURITY_ERR: DOM Exception 18.

I'm not sure if this is a restriction imposed on all iOS UIWebViews because some googling suggests developers who inject their own webviews on their apps can do some things to try and bypass this, but not having any knowledge in iOS development I'm not sure if it would be worth also filing a bug in iOS Chrome for this.

i have the lib in use in development and it works good. However, one thing makes me wondering, maybe I missed an essential part of the docs. On each (re-)load 'asyncStorage.create(dbName, function(mydb){...' is executed and leads to multiple entries of dbName in Chrome/Resources/Database. Currently I keep overall size of values stored low, so it will fit in a cookie as last resort.

But wouldn't these multiple entries effect maximum storage size?

If user does not allow to increase quota, there is no error callback called on setItem.
