java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError

I had the usual problem where the player's computer disconnected from the server, the server thought the player was still connected, the player tries to reconnect and gets the already connected error -- the exact situation joinkick is supposed to fix.

However instead joinkick is reporting this error in the velocity log:
