logseq-paper-theme's Introduction

Paper Theme

The Logseq Paper theme is a minimal theme, where the page and journal container is elevated from the user interface. Therefore putting it front and center for a distractionless writing experience.

If you like this template, consider buying me a coffee :)

The theme is build on top of the great Logseq Dev Theme by Peng Xiao and inspired by the work of Fabrizio Rinaldi with his Better Roam Research theme.

Usage

The easiest way to adopt this theme is to use jsDelivr CDN by adding the following lines to your custom.css.

/* This must be the first line of the custom.css with other import rules */
@import url("https://wirtzdan.github.io/logseq-paper-theme/custom.css");

/* Add these variables to your custom.css if you want to hide these page elements in the UI. Remove them to make them visible again. */
:root {
  --display-recent-pages: none;
  --display-search-button: none;
  --display-arrow-navigation: none;
  --display-help-button: none;
}

/* You can also add other styles below to override the default theme values */

Alternatively, you can download this repo and load it as a Logseq Theme Plugin.

logseq-paper-theme's Issues

Font weight different on windows

Thanks for your awesome work.

I realized that the font weight looks much lighter on my machine (win 10) then on the screenshot in the repo. When i manipulate font-size (18px) in custom css it looks a bit better but not as smooth then on the mac screenshot.

Overlapping of top right task bar

Hey guys,
While scrolling down the top right task bar and its icons are overlapping the text f.e. in the journal. without any blocker in between:
image
There is no color / blocker behind the icons so they are transparant in a way. While I do not know wherther this is intended or not, I find it a little bit irritating while scrolling down and prefer a intransparent background behind the icons just like in the default theme of logseq.
Nonetheless your theme really looks great! Thank you for providing it to the logseq community :)
Greetings!

Compatibility with Logseq tabs plugin

image

Reporting this issue because this is a very popular plugin that adds useful functionality to Logseq. It looks alright on every theme, except this one where the positioning clashes with the card design.

Scrolling issue on long pages

On long pages there is an issue where the scrolling gets a little messed up.

CleanShot 2022-04-26 at 15 56 01@2x

It seems like there isn't enough bottom padding in the "paper" container and then I have to scroll the parent container to see the rest of the content.

Does not respond to wide mode

I don't see any visible change to the width of the page when using the Paper theme in wide vs. normal mode. In other words, t w produces no change in the theme appearance.

I love the theme! It would be useful for wide mode to work.

left sidebar overlap

First, I love this theme. Thanks for making it.
I noticed that the left sidebar will cover the main content when the window width is small enough rather than resizing the content to fit. The right sidebar doesn't have this behavior. The Dev theme doesn't do this until the window width is much smaller.

If this is a design choice rather than a bug, can you point out the change? I'd prefer to have the Dev theme's behavior.

Document search is not usable in All Pages

This is related to the theme, considering default theme shows full search option while paper theme only shows the search icon & we cannot see what we're typing, so it's confusing in a way

Here is a screenshot comparison:
Default theme

Paper Theme

This probably happens because of the limited width but if we decrease the width of the window to a point then because of the dynamic nature of those options, we can see all of them again

So I'm wondering if there is way to have that by default

Pdf viewer is being greyed out in dark mode

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Switch to Paper theme(dark mode)
  2. Add a pdf file to a block
  3. Open the pdf file from within Logseq by clicking the link.

For comparison with the default theme:

graph view not working

This theme is super lovely!!
Graph view is unfortunately broken - returns a blank screen and or crashes logseq.
