I'm trying to use this script but I get only grey tiles in my web browser.
So I tried to debug a little, I've added these lines to check if the script loads my project correctly :

print os.path.isfile(project_file)
print QgsProject.instance().read()
print QgsProject.instance().title()
print QgsProject.instance().layerTreeRoot().dump()
print QgsProject.instance().layerTreeRoot().findLayerIds()

and unfortunately, I have only :

True
True
My name
GROUP:  visible=2 expanded=1
[]

Do you have an idea why there is no layers ? The title is ok.
With QGIS desktop, I have 3 vectors layer in this project.

I'm trying to get some transparency in my tiles. I would like to use another TMS as a background.
I tried to set a background in the map settings :

self.map_settings = QgsMapSettings()
self.map_settings.setOutputSize(QSize(256, 256))
self.map_settings.setBackgroundColor(QColor(255, 255, 255, 0))

But I got some strange tile with a lot of noise in it :

The noise depends of the alpha channel. If I put less transparency, I'm having less noise.

Did someone try to get some transparent tile ?
