possible future extensions of fPix can be:

• add new and different patterns to the four already available
  • Hamilton path (maze-like)
  • poisson disc distribution of dots (of same size): denser for darker, sparse for bright
• add other post-processors for different machines
• generate preview as <svg> for better and changeable resolution and vector file download

Depending on hardware and browser, the calculation of a pattern (especially with small milling bits) can take quite long. It is sometimes unclear if fPix is still calculating or if it crashed. A progress bar or a console writing intermediate steps could close this information gap.

images should not permanently be uploaded to the server and visible to anyone, but only stored during an active session an then deleted

Currently, the front end index.htmlis designed as a not very elegant HTML-<form>, its elements in cells of a <table> nested inside another <table>, one showing an <iframe> displaying the images... you get the idea!
One idea would be, to re-make the entire front-end/GUI-part using e.g. Bootstrap
