exercises.json's Issues

Rename exercises to be inline with naming convention

The naming convention will be: <exercise.name> (<exercise.equipment).

Currently a lot of the exercises do not adopt this naming convention as they were scrapped of the internet. We need to go through the exercises and begin naming them correctly.

Setup GitHub pages

Summary

GitHub pages that lists all exercises with a simple search feature

Motivation

Enable people to browse the open dataset in a nice easy to read format. Also act as a simple exercise lookup.

Additional context

Add alternate names for each exercise

To improve searching, we could enumerate alternate names for each exercise.

For example, anyone building an exercise app would want to ensure that a user searching for "landmine row" will find "t-bar row":

{
    "name": "T-Bar Row with Handle",
    "alternateNames": ["Landmine Row"]
}

Now people can build their own fuzzy search: fullTextIndex(exercise.name + ' ' + exercise.alternateNames.join(' ')).

Thanks for putting this together.

Enquiry regarding the license status of the images in your dataset

Hi,
Thanks for the dataset. I am planning on working on a fitness app & this dataset will contribute a lot in that regards. Thanks again

However I was having a very important doubt regarding the license status of the images in your dataset.
Are the images in your dataset available without any copyright issue/open sourced & can be used in a commercial app without any issues later on?

Thanks & Regards
