I feel that the list would be more useful if it were ordered as the continents are ordered in the Adventurer's Tome in-game, particularly for grouping the first 4 continents. Alphabetical order feels arbitrary in comparison, IMO.
Is it possible to get notifications only when there is enough upvotes instead of getting them directly when someone suggests?
I think this would be a good small-term solution to this trolling problem going on with Wei card.
Interacting with the vote buttons has no effect and console does not output any error.
For the sake of keeping it clean and getting rid of trolls, I suggest entry gets deleted if it receives 10 thumbs down
US East > Una got trolled today. SaintBot doesn't have that issue as much because accounts have user IDs. You could have a non-notification suggestion by new users that requires votes. And items like Wei Card could require certain requirements.
Maybe upvotes is a form of account points to show reputation.
Tried changing various ApperanceTimes, but they don't seem to have any affect on the client side. I could not find the cause yet, so just letting you know.
I guess it's nothing major, as they shouldn't be changed in production anyway.
Notification Settings, adding the Location of the Merchant would be very useful. Dorella (Feiton) etc.
The card named Eolh is mispelled on the merchant page.
I notice your Issues are becoming bloated. You may consider a discord server so github issues is not the place people go to complain about shadow bans and trolls.
I've submitted wandering merchant locations here and there but recently whenever I've submitted any, they would get downvoted quickly even though they're the correct location and items. Then minutes later a new submission for the merchant will be created with the exact same listings as what I put but it won't get downvoted. Example where I've submitted suggestions for Rethramis, West Luterra, and East Luterra, but they've all been downvoted except the non-downvoted one which I didn't submit remained fine even though the location and items are the same as what I inputted: https://i.imgur.com/IVIXY9U.png
This has happened on multiple spawn time occasions as well and it doesn't seem like it's a coincidence. Another example: https://i.imgur.com/Ehpk8bI.png In this example I submitted all the submissions for Rethramis, West Luterra, and East Luterra but they were all downvoted once again. I submitted again to those 3 regions but on my phone on mobile data and they did not get downvoted like the previous posts.
This is another submissions for Punika region: https://i.imgur.com/hsPcFp9.png
In terms of silver costs, it's cheaper to use the 450 rapport gifts than legendary gifts (the same amount of silver gets you 80% more rapport). Thus it would be nice to have an ability to track specific epic gifts and get alerts about them.
Hey! I was looking for a place where I could leave a comment and suggestion, but couldn't find one other then this, so... sorry for 'spamming', hehe.
Anyways, I just wanted to say that I love this project you've got going and if you find the time maybe it'd be nice if there was forum or chat like feature included onto the website as well.
Keep up the great work, friend! ^^
In front of each row have a checkbox or dropdown that hides or darkens the rows so people can hide merchants - whether they just don't want to see a specific merchant or if they have already visited them. Would give easier clarity towards the merchants still not visited.
Is your code updated for daylight savings by any chance?
There are 2 spots for Burt, and it's faster to TP from the port for this second spot.
Everything in the title, it would allow users to validate an entry and therefore reduce the chance that a troll has more/same amount of votes than a legit input.
It's sad that this kind of thing happens, but there is a serial troll in my region that keeps marking the wrong items and locations of merchants and that's causing players to lose precious minutes waiting for the voting system to stabilized until they can be sure they can travel to a merchant location to buy the items.
I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement and how committed the dev of this tool is, but some kind of "shadowban" system based on the IP address of someone could help a lot at countering the low effort trolling that is going right now without resorting to account creation, since these people are unlikely to continue trolling if they have to go through the hassle of changing their IP addresses when they figure out they got caught. Basically whenever a certain IP got a low score, the shadowban system would make any suggestions made from that IP addresses to not be displayed to the rest of the IP addresses connected to the website.
Merchant timers are wrong if the site is visited for the first time (no LocalStorage data in browser) and the server region is swapped before a server gets selected. The following GIF shows a demonstration with Chromes incognito mode.
In this, I first show the actual state for EUC Asta, afterwards I go to Incognito Mode to open the site again with no cookies/localstorage. I then select a "wrong" region, in this case NA East, then change it to EUC and select Asta server. Now the timers for the upcoming merchants seem to be messed up, I think it applies the wrong region timezone or something. Timers for the active merchants will be wrong aswell.
If the site is refreshed the timers will be correct again, as the LocalStorage is not initialized and the server region and server are saved.
I tried debugging it, but have not found anything yet.
Issue: Sometimes I would click the wrong one to confirm but am unable to unselect it to nuetral and have to either vote it up or down at that point.
Solution: Change it so clicking Thumbs up or Thumbs down if already selected removes the vote for that merchant so you are not forced to select one or the other.
'An unhandled error has occurred. Reload' at bottom of the page.
How can I enable notifications? I've enable it already but it is not working, on any of my browsers T-T
Piggybacking on #36
Appending the NPC that each epic item gives 450 rep for would be spectacular (so I don't have to memorize which gift goes to who). Maybe an icon or NPC name to the right of the item name, or icon/picture/name on mouseover?
Hi there, after latest LA update there's a bug at least for EUW Tortoyk server. Website thinks all of the Merchants stay up for 25 seconds instead of ~22 minutes, so you can't inform other players about any of the merchants place and loot because before i feel everything up website skips to next Wandering Merchants waiting timers.
It's a minor issue, but I'd like it if there was an option to check off whichever NPC we have visited for that timeslot. Just a simple checkbox/strikethrough feature would be great. Not really an issue when there's a handful of merchants up, but on some time slots I tend to get lost pretty easily while I'm trying to get as many as possible. With the discord bot you can open up every map as it pops up and close the tab after you get it so it's easy to keep track which ones are left. Anything that could help with this issue would be greatly appreciated, it's the one thing where I still prefer using the discord bot over this.
Hey, people troll the site and there is currently no feature to downvote or report a false location/card/rapport item.
do it please :)
Allow us to minimize/hide the left blue menu. Takes up a lot of unused space on the desktop.
If I close the page, I can't receive any notification. I have to scream on lock and stay on the page to receive notification, even though I enabled the notification premission for Chrome an this web
Sometimes the map for merchant location gets cutoff at the bottom because it extends below my screen. I would like to see the whole image without scrolling pls.
Also maybe add an ability to click the location text to keep the image open. That way it doesn't close when I alt-tab into the game.
Hey. Just wanted to let you know, the Timezones are actually wrong in the game. It's correct in your tool, but that way it doesn't actually work for tracking the merchants. I'm on EU West, the in-game time right now is 15:50 UTC, while the actual time for that region would be 16:50. My local time (I live in Central Europe) is 17:50. So your tool is 1 hour late.
Even if that were fixed, many people play on regions in different timezones. Could you implement the possibility to manually set a server-time or just choose UTC+X / UTC-X, which is shown when hovering over the clock in the game? That would make it much more useful, and you wouldn't have to keep adjusting the times then Daylight Savings Time hits.
Adding a notification System, to get informed when a merchant of a selected server is available.
If you make a mistake and submit but attempt to fix it with "suggest replacement" nothing happens. The button seems to effectively do nothing.
If possible, pulling votes from Saint Bot and including them in the data would be useful. If you keep the saint bot votes separate internally, a few options could allow users to disable user or saint-bot votes independently in the case someone wants to control the source of votes they use.
Hello! I'm dyslexic and find it really difficult to quickly see where merchants are without dragging a line from the upvotes across to the left which shows me which area.
It's be a really nice feature that the more a merchant is downvoted, the greyer (or red) the text goes? Or the more a merchant is upvoted, the more green the location text goes?
That'd make it much easier to navigate the page when it's super populated.
This might be helpfull for possible troll submits.
Because it takes some time to check for merchant, adding a button would allow to split the search is there are multiple people looking for it on the same server.
Just a quick button to press on the main page, which adds a little icon (and maybe a time, like it expires after a minute, to avoid abuse)
It would be nice to have a little checkbox to mark when I've visited a merchant already. Don't need a form or anything, just a local checkbox that can lose its state after refreshing or merchants expire.
Hey, fantastic website. Is there a way to integrate the notification with a discord webhook? Or is that something we could possible get in the future?
Thanks for the hard work!
Right now I'm tracking Mac and Wei card, I also have notifications on Legendary Rapport items.
I do however only get the notification when Mac sells it, I'd like there to be a "All Legendary Rapport" notification which alerts me whenever any mechant sells one.
Also I'm a big fan of the website and it's helped me alot so far, thanks! ๐
^
This might get trolled, but adding a button that would allow a timer to start from when the last time the Little Luck merchant was seen. I believe it's a 2 hour respawn and the merchant is up for 10 mins.
Hi there,
I'm a UI developer and I'd love to help contribute to this project.
I was wondering if it's possible to get README instructions for running this locally for development? I've tried my best to run this but to no avail - I keep getting a persistent error issue when trying to preview in the browser so I must be missing something.
Thank you!
Ok so I HAVE trolled Wei card ONCE (during 8-hour maintenance where noone was able to login) and now everytime I post a location it gets hard downvoted. after 5-10 minutes I see the same location/items put up and it gets upvoted and stays up. I get that the votes dont really matter big picture, but I'm rapport grinding rn, and frequently get to merchants before others, but can't share locations because of this. I get that I probably deserve this because Wei-trolls bad but I specifically picked a harmless time to do it and can't help others now. Is there a way to appeal this? If not I get it, oh well.
Currently merchants that are both active and upcoming will only list them as active, which can trip up people, like it did with me. Mac spawns at 4:30 and 5:30 but when the 4:30 spawning is active, it doesn't show as upcoming as well. It should list as both current and upcoming at once so you know the next hour also includes the same merchants that are active. I would check upcoming merchants and see none in Anikka so I'd be comfortable that it wasn't going to appear for at least within about the next two hours when I see Wei isn't on the current one.
