我尝试kill掉Finder进程，但在Finder进程重新启动时，依旧提示相同的错误

Issue: Starting the GUI as a normal user, clicking "install" and authenticating results in "Daemon Status" and "Daemon Running" both turning green briefly, before settling on the following state:

Environment: macOS Monterey, M1 mini (2020)

$ uname -a
Darwin mini.local 21.2.0 Darwin Kernel Version 21.2.0: Sun Nov 28 20:29:10 PST 2021; root:xnu-8019.61.5~1/RELEASE_ARM64_T8101 arm64

Build: (from master as of 01-17)

$ git rev-parse HEAD
f53893276beebfb006771144f0ec01416f88017f
$ cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug -DCMAKE_OSX_ARCHITECTURES=arm64e -B build .
$ cmake --build build -- install -j$(nproc)
$ sudo mv build/dist/Odourless /Applications

When I upgrade to 0.0.6 ,and lauch with new Odourless, then crash.
So I had to downgrade to 0.0.3 and anything comes well.

macOS version: macOS Catalina 10.15.7
output of csrutil status: System Integrity Protection status: disabled.

I tried to follow the installation instructions:

1. I downloaded the zipped file from the release page and unzipped it;
2. I moved Odourless.app to /Applications.

But if I try to open it, either via Spotlight or by clicking the icon through Finder, I get the error Installation Check .. You must install this application under /Appplications, even though it already is under /Applications!

I then tried manually installing it with this bash script

cat "$path_resources/odourless-daemon.plist" \
| sed "s#___replace_me_daemon_path__#$path_resources/bin/odourless-daemon#" \
| sudo tee /Library/LaunchDaemons/odourless-daemon.plist &>/dev/null

launchctl load "/Library/LaunchDaemons/odourless-daemon.plist"

which runs without errors. After rebooting, if I manually launch Odourless with

/Applications/Odourless.app/Contents/MacOS/odourless

I can see that the daemon is installed and running

However Odourless doesn't seem to work, Finder still created .DS_Store files, as you can see in this gif

• had a simple installer (even if I had to run it after every upgrade),
• was reasonably well-maintained (i don't upgrade the MOMENT a new macOS release comes out, but not too long after)
• and that didn't even TRY to preserve the "features" these folder metadata turds were designed to implement!

Please -- somebody start a GoFundMe and save me!

And just found that you'd finished it and shipped a 1.0!

I just installed it on Catalina, the install was drag & drop simplicity, and it works perectly!

I'm not sure if you know, but a brilliant person has managed to make TotalFinder compatible with Apple Silicon.

Unfortunately, Odourless and TotalFinder do not play nice together. If TotalFinder is running, the Odourless daemon says:
E: inject failed, Incompatible Mach-O image

Hoping there's a way to have both tools working at once!
