xilinxboardstore's Introduction

XilinxBoardStore

Welcome to the Xilinx Board Store GitHub Repository

The Board Store is an open source repository of Board data files designed primarily for use with the Xilinx Vivado Design Suite. An xitem corresponds to a group or collection of one or more Board data files that is published and maintained by an owner. The xitem owner acts as a gatekeeper for that code and we only accept contributions for an app from the owner. In addition, the entire repository is managed by a Xilinx gatekeeper that controls pushes to the private and public repos.

This feature is supported starting from Vivado 2019.1 release.

xilinxboardstore's Issues

KR260 carrier definition incorrect

The KR260 carrier defines a GPIO interface for the various PMOD connectors on the board, however, due to the way it's defined, when you try to connect it to a GPIO IP it only sees the first of the pins, and there doesn't appear to be any way to resolve this properly without editing the board definitions.

I think instead of defining each as a distinct physical port, they need to be grouped as part of the same physical port definition possibly. If there's a way to get around this, it's not documented anywhere that I can see

CMOD-s725

Hello, on the diligent vivado board master file, cmods7-25 exists, but it is not available on the vivado xhub store or here. Could you create a board file for CMODS7-25?

Repository claims to be open source but lacks LICENSE file?

In your README.md file says;

The Board Store is an open source repository of Board data files designed primarily for use with the Xilinx Vivado Design Suite.

However, I can't seem to find any information about what license this repo is under?

You can find info about adding a license file at https://docs.github.com/en/free-pro-team@latest/github/building-a-strong-community/adding-a-license-to-a-repository

See https://docs.github.com/en/free-pro-team@latest/github/creating-cloning-and-archiving-repositories/licensing-a-repository , https://github.blog/2016-09-21-license-now-displayed-on-repository-overview/ and https://opensource.guide/legal/

I would recommend talking to @clavin-xlnx if you need advice.

ZCU216 ES not available

Hello, It seems that Engineering Samples for ZCU216 are not available in this version. Coul be added from branch 2020.2?

Vivado 2020.2 repo update error

I get

ERROR: [Common 17-1475] Error reading json file 'C:/Users/[.,.]/AppData/Roaming/Xilinx/Vivado/2020.2/xhub/board_store/xilinx_board_store/XilinxBoardStore/Vivado/2020.2/.staging/boards/Trenz_Electronic/TE0725LP/1.0/xitem.json'.

I think it's the same issue as mentioned here
https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Design-Entry/Vivado-2019-2-Update-Board-Repositories-failing/td-p/1099617

which was fixed I believe here:

[Board 49-26] cannot add Board Part xilinx.com:au280:part0:1.1

Hi,

I was trying to add the au280 board part (in branch 2018.3) to Vivado 2018.3. However, it seems that the board files cannot be recognized and I got this warning in the log.

WARNING: [Board 49-26] cannot add Board Part xilinx.com:au280:part0:1.0 available at /work/shared/common/xilinx/Vivado/XilinxBoardStore/boards/Xilinx/au280/1.0/board.xml as part xcu280-fsvh2892-2l-e-es1 specified in board_part file
is either invalid or not available

I also tried to open XIC and import the board files according to this post: https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Design-Entry/WARNING-Board-49-26-cannot-add-Board-Part-xilinx-com-au200-part0/td-p/1069210

But unfortunately, XIC cannot be opened and it returned the following errors:

RFSoC2x2 board files

It seems that the RFSoC2x2 board files are only available inside the 2020.1 branch. Would it be possible to add them also to the 2020.2, as it is presently the "official" for the development with PYNQ? Of course, if it can be upgraded to all the upper versions, it would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance
