I updated the code to load more images when the user scrolls to the end of the view

The main problem is the 'await' is blocking render. This limits the users ability to select images in their gallery.

Can await work as a background process? Or is there a better way?

I was in a rush putting this together and need someone to fix the permissions please. Or else I'll get it done next change I get. Thanks

Once permissions are fixed and images are loading, you will notice there is a delay between input and UI change.

The images are not being re-rendered, you can create a log on <ImageTile /> componentDidMount but when the array is appended to (immutably), FlatList loops over all items and there is a performance issue.

Maybe we need to cache images? Or is there a way to force flatlist to only loop over a subsection of images?
