The gamemode where you where you play as the best cook... By collecting all the props and stuffing them into your cooking pot.

Super Cooking Panic (or SCookP, because for anti-breaching reasons we can't make shorter), is a team based gamemode where teams of cooks fight for the best dish in all the gmod world. Fight your way by cooperating with your friends and score the highest possible by using bonus prop and multiplicator and stop the other team by changing the cooking pot location or, even, use them as prop with cannibalism power up (or your friend, a friendly food is still food)!

The cherry on the cake? This gamemode works on any map! The cooking pot appears on player spawn points so you can load any map with a ton of props and wreck your friend anywhere! (PropHunt maps are best).

Please note that this gamemode is in development! Expect missing features, bugs and issues.

This gamemode got first place on the GmodStore Gamemode Competition 2020.

Releasing an ingredient in the cooking pot can produce an error

Power-UPs

Base Concept:

  • Spicy Boost: Temporary team speed boost.
  • Soapy feet: Throw to an enemy player to make them slippery.
  • False ingredient: Explodes when picked up by other teams.
  • Reroll: Rerolls the bonus ingredient (if we keep the one bonus ingredient idea).
  • Cannibalism: Throw to any player to kill them. Making the targeted player death ragdoll a valid ingredient.
    • Bonus points if target is an enemy.
  • Respawn cooking pots: Respawns the cooking pots

Collision issues with the cooking pot

Sometimes players can walk through a cooking pot...
Probably an issue caused by Entity:SetModelScale.
This would probably be fixed with a dedicated cooking pot model.
Or just by disabling physics on the cooking pot.
It should be safer to make the cooking pot static.
