For me, the plugin does not hide the folder note file until I click on the title of the folder, it may be a related issue.
Current setting:
File explorer before clicking on the folder title:
File explorer after clicking on the folder title (twice, to reexpand the folder)
Testing showed that changing the setting to Folder Name Outside does not fix the issue either
from obsidian-folder-note-plugin.
