Nice job! It works great and the code is very well organized.

One small comment: one thing you could do on #song-form submit would be to clear the input fields so you can enter another song more easily.

With regards to validating with regex: the easiest thing would be to split the notes on a space " ", then validate that each individual note matches this Regex:

^[ABCDEFG]{1}[#]?[*]?(\d+)?

http://regexr.com/ is a great tool for validating Regexes. See if you can work out what the Regex does 😄
