Container can't see NVIDIA device
Thanks for this. I'm trying deploy on AWS p3.2xlarge, DLAMI Ubuntu 18.04.
$ nvidia-smi
Failed to initialize NVML: Driver/library version mismatch
After running the container and transcoding with cuvid and nvenc I get error:
[h264_cuvid @ 0x55577bce5040] ctx->cvdl->cuvidGetDecoderCaps(&ctx->caps8) failed -> CUDA_ERROR_NO_DEVICE: no CUDA-capable device is detected
[h264_cuvid @ 0x55577bce5040] ctx->cvdl->cuvidGetDecoderCaps(&ctx->caps10) failed -> CUDA_ERROR_NO_DEVICE: no CUDA-capable device is detected
[h264_cuvid @ 0x55577bce5040] ctx->cvdl->cuvidGetDecoderCaps(&ctx->caps12) failed -> CUDA_ERROR_NO_DEVICE: no CUDA-capable device is detected
Stream mapping:
Stream #0:0 -> #0:0 (h264 (h264_cuvid) -> hevc (hevc_nvenc))
Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (aac (native) -> aac (native))
Error while opening decoder for input stream #0:0 : Generic error in an external library
I tried running docker with --privileged -v /dev/dri:/dev/dri but no luck.
Running sudo docker run --rm --gpus all nvidia/cuda:11.0-base nvidia-smi does work however, following nvidia docs.
Should I avoid DLAMI for this? Any ideas?
