I wasn't sure about the title, it makes it sound like the paper will be about telling graduates if they should more or not but your research question is a little different "do certain majors lead to moving". I really like your visualizations especially the tree diagrams. Great job, thanks for presenting for me too :)

review from Yang Hou

The overall design and layout of your poster is very well. Your expression and wording is very clear. The content is well organized. The flow of the poster is fluent. The color is fine. I think a little bit more visualization would be better, though remain at the current layout is totally acceptable. The question you intent to research is very interesting, and has much to do since there are few related researches in the field. You have acceptable answer, though an answer with higher statistical significant would be better. The computation method you use is appropriate and good. The evidence support your claim, though if you want to do further research you may need more data.

Comments on data/methods

You do not need to split up proposed research question and hypotheses. Write these things in one paragraph as a sort of introduction. Some tables look like raw output. You need to format these into a proper format. While you are redesigning the tables you might want to type everything up in LaTeX instead. Otherwise, this looks promising.

Hi Xingyun,

The following are my comments on your poster:

Overall design/layout

  • In general, the poster looks well organized and professional.
  • Nonetheless, I wonder if it is necessary to include everything that is currently present in the poster, which looks somewhat crowded with all the information. You may be able to better focus on the key points by getting rid of some less important parts.
  • The poster uses bullet points superbly!
  • I was somewhat confused at first because your poster prioritizes rows over columns. I am more used to looking at the poster first from top to bottom and second from left to right. I wonder if this structure might be a source of confusion to others as well.

Visualization

  • I like your choice of plots. Just one comment: I wonder if there is any better way to write the college majors on the x-axis of the "Distribution" plot. I don't have a clear answer, but you may be able to use more acronyms.

Content

  • The name of your dependent variable, "Whether Moved" sounds somewhat awkward to me. Can you think of an alternative expression for this? I believe "(geographical) mobility" is a good candidate here.
  • I think the "Distribution" plot fits better after the "Data & Variables" section. I suggest switching this with the "Methods" section.

Overall, it seems like a great work.
Best of luck to you for the rest of this quarter!

Peer review

The overall design of this research is clear and well organized. For the poster part, the author use reasonable color blocks and great visualization technichs. I like the Distribution plot best and I think the language in the poster is efficient and easy to understand. However, the layout of the post doesn’t match our reading habit. The arrangement is first from left to right and then up to down, while in most posters, the arrangement is first from the up to down and then left to right.
t would be better if the author could model the family factor into the major choice and decision to move.

The layout of your poster is really clear and your research question is interesting to me. I like your model part and your conclusion. I think your research is really valuable. The logic behind your whole research is very clear and could help me interpret your result. Hope to see your future research after you take time into consideration.
