scpreader's Introduction

SCPReader

node + python scp reader. made for uplime with love.

Usage

clone the repo
npm install
./scpread.py <id>
To install, I recommend you symlink scpread.py into a directory that's on your PATH, like so:

    ln -s /path/to/this/repo/scpread.py /home/user/.local/bin/scpread

That way, to update, you can just do

    git pull

Inside /path/to/this/repo whenever there are updates.

Note: Make sure that get.js and scpread.py are always in the same directory.

Install script fails

Select directory to install SCPReader to. (example: /home/user/bin) (preferably, this should be included in your $PATH): /usr/bin
cp: cannot stat 'scp': No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access '/usr/bin/scpread': No such file or directory
Install completed. Hopefully nothing broke. Enjoy stealthy SCP reading! Please do not delete this directory until such time you wish to uninstall. 
To uninstall, simply issue 'rm /usr/bin/scpread' and delete this directory.
