OKR 的全称为 Objectives and Key Results，即目标与关键成果法，是“目标管理与自我控制”（Management by Objectives and Self-control）的一种实践体系，能够帮助组织完整、有效地思考、沟通、执行和迭代战略。一组OKR包括1个目标（Objective）和2至5个关键结果（Key Results）——O和KR太多显然不够聚焦；而仅设唯一的O或KR，可能也就没必要使用OKR这种在不确定中探寻多种可能性的方法了。
在OKR的结构中，O与KR是对一个目标以两种互补的方式加以描述，好比一枚硬币由两面构成。O是定性的，表达“我们希望实现什么”；KR则代表“我们向目标行进了多远”，是从不同维度衡量目标实现进度或程度的定量标准。O奠定KR的基调，KR是对O的解释和证明。
