2019 年末，新型冠状病毒肺炎(COVID-19) 疫情突然爆发，并迅速蔓延至全国。一时间，疫情防控成为了全社会关注的焦点，对新冠疫情的新闻播报和数据统计也活跃在各大新 闻 app 中。开放而全面的数据资源可以帮助研究者、政策制定者、医疗工作者和普通民众更深入地了解病毒和疫情。
本APP为清华大学Java课程的大作业。该APP实现了一款新冠相关的工具类软件。其中服务器的数据抓取和网络接口由清华大学计算机系知识工程实验室提供，开发者根据网络接口文档和作业要求利用课上所学的 Java 和 android 开发知识实现一个手机客户端。
APP的功能包括：查询疫情相关的最新新闻、各国�疫情数据统计、疫情相关的实体关系、与疫情相关的学者简介等。
