obsidian-snippets's Issues

Easy Multi Column Notes - Marking the start & end

Is it possible to mark start and end of this multi-columns ?

So we can have notes like this:
notion like columns

It's like the only thing I miss from notion.

There are other snippets does this BUT I really like that this snippet doesn't leave any non-markdown-native or plugin-specific traces behind.

I wonder if something like this can be achieved with H6 headings? Because I never use them and they can naturally separate themselves from previous text; since they're... headings...

I'm not a dev, so I may be talking nonsense :')

Easy Multi Column Notes bugs out with inline contexts from Make.md

I really love this snippet... Unfortunately I can't use it at the moment simply because I really rely on Make.md inline context view (it basically gives a nice interface for the yaml and file name at the top). I was wondering if there was an easy fix from your side about this?

The most obvious bug is that the on the right side you can't really select the text with the mouse near the top of the column. There are other ones that I can list in case you're interested. Thanks :D

[indent-headings] export to pdf issue

Hello @zamsyt

A really big thank you for making this snippets. It has made my day.

The plugin works exceedingly well so far. However, I am just wondering if it is intended for the indents not to be carried over to the pdf export? AKA I can see the indents in preview mode fine, but when I export them to a pdf file, they fall back to how they are originally placed, rather than indented.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you.

Feature or Bug? Multi column View is enabled in source mode.

Feature Request or a Bug? I sure don't know! :)

In source mode, it is expected that nothing should work or change the rendering of, hence source. However, the multi column snippet continues to change the movement of text within source mode. This makes "setting up" new columns an aggravating experience.

Otherwise, I've been having a lovely time with the snippet. It makes stuff like emulating below possible. ❤️

Suggested "Fix"

If it is not a bug, then I'm thinking...

  • Enable a toggle via style settings.
  • Or, Create a duplicate snippet that only affects reading view.

Custom page preview: Automatic generation using plugins

Hello.

I tried to replicate and build the text formatting from your snippet. To build the snippet automatically from note's metadata. But as you see the CSS is not behaving in same way if it is inserted as text.

  1. It is visible in note body
  2. It is not rendered inside preview popup

Do you have any ideas how to fix it? Possible with adding some CSS class?

Indented Headers makes Community Plugins modal unusable.

I've started using the Indented Headers snippet, which I like quite a bit. However, I've noticed two things about it:

  • When disabled, headers stay indented (which is okay with me, because of the next bullet point.).
  • When it's enabled, the community plugins modal slows to a complete crawl, often making Obsidian impossible to use for upwards of two minutes, in some cases.

I've included a video: the first time I press the button is with the snippet disabled, which is the expected behavior. Second time is with snippet enabled, and it has me clicking random objects on the page and hitting ESC the moment after I click the button so you can see how long it takes to register that and leave the modal.

Right now, the workaround seems to be disabling the snippet, where I keep the indented headers but don't suffer from the drawbacks in the video.

Thanks so much! I'm taking a look at this as well, and if I can find out what's causing it, I'll update you here.

Repo Request - License

Hello,

I may have interest in using some of these snippets within a publish site, or in other works. Your other repositories have the Unlicensed, but I did not want to assume the same applied here. Could you please update this repo with your license of choice?

add feature to indent-headings

I'm sorry for bothering you.
Is it possible to make indents in the following form:

heading 1
    some text
    heading 2
        some text
        heading 3
            some text
        heading 3
            some text
    heading 2
