Add an ability see the boundary after you cross it (as it can be a bit disorientating and hard to find to way back to safe ground sometimes). Perhaps as the player crosses the border change 5 blocks in a row (to indicate the direction of the border) at the players feet to glowstone (checking for chests/signs/wool/etc and ignoring so we don't lose the data or chest contents)? This could be set on a timer so that 10 seconds later they change back to the original blocks.

Can be good for "danger zones" such as swamps.

Players can walk past the boundary, quit, log back in and receive no further damage.

Allow for a list of strings eg.
messages:
enter: [Test, Test2, Test3]
exit: Can be a list or just one message.
death: [msg1, msg2, etc]

Damage to land optional?

eg. with Essentials "god" command you still take damage.

Concentric or non-concentric, option to handle overlapping (add damage or just do highest). Add custom permission node option to each boundary - users can then add access to different users/groups as needed (this also allows for inheritance and boundarykill.custom.thistown.* type permissions)

Support both Permissions 2.x and the new Bukkit permissions system.
