Steps to be followed:

1. Install Node js from - https://nodejs.org/

2. Install Ruby from - https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/documentation/installation/#rubyinstaller

3. Install Git from - https://git-scm.com/downloads

4. Add Ruby path to windows environment variables in "User variable for user", Add npm path also for Grunt to work Example: PATH = "C:/Users/user/Appdata/Roaming/npm"

5. Install Grunt with command "npm install -g grunt-cli"

6. Install ruby gem from https://rubygems.org/pages/download

7. Install compass using command (for sass) "gem install compass" "gem install sass"

8. finally go to the applicaiton root folder where your grunt file located in git bash, run the command "grunt serve"
