for fun it would be nice to apply translation, rotation and similar to the udig 
operations

show in active region graphics the mapset it belongs to, so that users know 
what they are seeing

add a copy map on active region from catalog

Hi,

I'm trying to set the GRASS mapset for JGRASS but I'm getting an error when 
attempting to add the mapset path (JGRASS > Mapset settings > g.setmapset):

'This is not a valid GRASS mapset folder. Please supply a valid mapset folder.'

My GIS BASE is: /home/user/grassdata
Example of mapset: /home/user/grassdata/location/mapset

I'm using Version: 1.2-M9
System: Ubuntu Lucid

Add the menu item to rename maps and mapsets from catalog.
Should rename on disk directly.

There should be a way to set the active mapset by right click on the catalog.

add the possibility to create a grass location and mapset directly from an 
esrii map

* view line orientation only on feature layers
* layer summary in layer view

create a resources group for the catalog. Should hold resources in a folder as 
a tree for better readability of the catalog.

smart query tool should reproject the click point to work properly in cases in 
which the map's projection is different from the resources projection.

We are using JGrass in the Hydrology class at Politecnico di Torino since last 
year. There are some features we think could be very useful if they can be 
implemented into JGrass.
In the following our wish list is reported.
1)  Hypsographic curve:
a.  Representation with elevation on the x-axis;
b.  Representation starting with the minimum basin elevation instead of 0 m asl;
c.  Representation of the hypsometric curve.
2)  River network:
a.  Extraction of the main channel. To identify the main channel we apply the 
function hackstream, and then we use its output to mask the DTM in order to be 
able to represent the longitudinal profile of the main channel. However, if 
this could be done automatically it would be great;
b.  Determination of the topological width function for the river network;
c.  Determination of the informative entropy
3)  Raster profile tool: there is a way to make it scalable with the zoom?
4)  Raster summary tool: It is not working with the output of hacklength
