pyigrf's Issues

Has this code ever been cross-validated?

... against, for instance, igrf12 or the plain official Fortran/C implementations of the IGRF?

(As far as I can tell, this repository would be the first working pure Python implementation of this model that I have seen. Very fascinating, good work. EDIT: Not the first (?): navtools)

Something wrong with interpolation?

When plotting secular variation (only between 1995 and 2015), there seems to be a jump in values from the year 2 to 3 after the year of coefficients. Things fall back to "normal" every five years. I suspect this must be related to some rounding error?

igrf13coeffs.txt not included when installing using PyPI

Hi,
When importing the package after installing using pip3 it complains that the coefficient file is missing. It's quite an easy fix - just need to include it in the MANIFEST.in file before building the package.
Thanks for the IGRF module though - works a treat!
Cheers,
Matt.

Release 0.3.1

Hey @zzyztyy do you have plans to release 0.3.1 after the merge of #4, 0.3.0 is still broken on pypi.

Incorrect calculations for 2020.0 and onward

Calculations with the latest IGRF 13 model are incorrect. They are very different with IGRF reference implementation. For example: lat 60.0, lon 40.0, alt 0.0, date 2020.13. The results are almost 0.8 degree different. And there is a huge leap between 2019.98 and 2020.0, which is impossible.
