Is the number of training sessions an employee is eligible to attend determined by the number of session or the budget expense? For example, if an employee identifies a half-day skill-set training workshop for $75, does that count toward their training for the FY?

From our policy docs....
"Employee should not use the federal transit subsidy to conduct government business. The official use of transit subsidy covers only the employee's transportation to and from the employee's residence to the employee's duty station. Offices are encouraged to have public transportation tickets/tokens for employees, to reduced the administrative burden."

This needs to be done, because there is confusion around the actual process.
This can be a simple bullet list or a very simple sketch -- this is not a final doc.
After this is created, we can discuss if we need a remake on the quicklook guide or if it still stands.

If we need to discuss in the a meeting -- we can do that, but I thought it would better to have the meeting after we have another possible draft.

If an employee speaks at conference does that count toward their training for the FY?

How does financial reimbursement take place?

1. For training, tentatively this is on P-card, whatever that is call that Ric manages.
2. For travel, this goes through concur.
3. For expenses outside of training and travel (which are?), this goes through reimbursement.

Is the third option, the only thing that needs reimbursement, since the other two are already handled? How does reimbursement happen? How are expenses filed? Does the money pop up in someone's pay check?

Research and figure out how this works.

What is the official definitions of training and conference? What is the policy/regulation citation?

Once the SF-182 is created, then what in the process, meaning how does an employee get paid?

Thinking it may be nice to have training in the title. So that people know where to go.
