Could you please extends README with update site, description.
Some roadmap would be nice also.

API Rate Limit Exceeded error on selecting a Branch too many times.

EGit import is too long and exhausting

there should be something as simple as

1. one click to open dialog (e.g. toolbar icon or toolbar submenu)
2. dialog should have
   URI
   Clone submodules checkbox
   to (git folder or Workspace)
   selection open exisitng or import as general

That are all fields from EGit Wirads that has 5 or 6 steps

In our Fork Visualisation View, i would like to differentiate between Active Forks and Non Active Forks showing them in different colors. Coz some of the forks never commit, they are just readonly forks. These should be considered as non active forks and shown in some other color.

We can check on the activities on this fork and probably come up with some logic to do this.

Refresh of Fork View to be optimised that whenever selection moves within the same Repo, Fork View shouldnt refresh.

Also Refresh of the Fork View to happen within a UIJob. This is now blocking the UI Thread. And if the number of Forks are many then it takes a while before the cursor comes back.

I forked a repo using the Fork and Clone functionality in Fork Visualisation View. Forking was successful. But then i am allowed again to click on that button and it still gives me the success message. If my username has already forked the repo, the button should be disabled.

Currently for PullRequest, we keep prompting for UserName and Password. It would be better to store the UserName and Password in SecurePreferenceStore.

Anyways this UserName and Password would be required across our utility for creating a GithubClient as and when required.

In Linux - PullRequest utility crashes. This is possibly due to Browser Integration with Linux. We should remove the Browser and display relevant information using other Widgets atleast for Linux.

So once having seen the Fork in the Fork Visualization View, the user would try to double click on it to open the fork. Therefore i would like to support Double Click on the Fork to open the Fork in Browser

CreatePullRequest option should be available only on GitHub Repositores. But currently its available on all the Git Branches in the Git Repositores View.

After Fork and Clone is performed, the Fork Visualisation View should refresh to show your Fork in the Zest View. It is currently not refreshing. If i reopen the Repo it works.

Fork Visualisation View should also be capable of the following

1. Viewing Forks of Public Repos in GITHUB. Currently it can view forks of cloned repo alone.
2. From the Public Repo, i should be able to Fork the Repo from Fork View
3. On Forking, it should automatically clone the repo with remote as origin and also configure the Parent Repo as remote so that we can send pullrequest.

Please add Open on GitHub command for context menu.
It should open repository and locate file page, e.g. for README.md

that is branch should be checked from git repository propoerties.

With it user can quickly do even more GitHub operations.

I right click on any file or folder, i get the Open in Browser menu. I should get this only when i click on a git repo connected resource. Attached screenshot for reference.

Pre Filling of Description : Recommended by jouvin

1 commit: the title is pre-filled with the first line of the commit description and the description with the remaining lines
several commits: no default (in fact the branch name which is completely useless but ensure there is a non empty title) It also seems that there are still 2 minor problems:
Description field should be multiline
the "pull request" pane and the "commits", "file changes" remains empty. Any know reason for this?

In Eclipse Merge Commits in to single commit option is not present. User has to perform it by git-bash which is not relevant practically.

Is this extension only meant for working with GitHub.com?
We are using a self hosted GitHub enterprise instance for hosting our repository and I was wondering, if the extension in general is capable of it.
In the Eclipse Preferences under git extensions, I can only input username and password, without specifying the URL to the GitHub server. This tells me, that it's only supporting GitHub.com at the moment.

I'm asking, because the "Create Pull Request" menu item is deactivated.

Now on Fork View irrespective of which exception is being thrown, we are showing the error for Authentication. But many a times, it is some other error.

Therefore improve Error Messages on Fork View.

Hi,

I filled the form, I have properly entered my GitHub credentials but after selecting the branches for the PR, clicking on Create I get the error message "Select Branch to Raise Pull Request.". I don't see what I can select....

I'm running Kepler SR2.

On Fork and Clone Action we should open a Dialog with following options

1. Fork and Clone
2. Only Fork
3. Only Clone

And based on the options we perform the required logic.
