We need a short Pitch in english for ourselfs and future collaborators that approach interviewees.
I think it should

• not be longer than 2min (less even better)
• explain who we are, what problem we try to solve an how we solve it
• we should make a video

@triaslucia you mentioned that you were interested in getting input on the UX of the toolkit, I believe?

You could start a thread on the Open Source Design forum and ask for help there. I think that what you will need to be successful is the following:

• make sure that you have all the materials for your toolkit published, and ready to be reviewed (you can create an issue and assign it to me when you would like me to review the English text)

• I will review the English text and let you know when I'm finished

• you sign up for an account on the OSD forum (if you haven't already)

• make a post in the Usability Reviews and Research category, called something like UX review request: Beyond Activismo Toolkit. If you want, you could write a draft version of that post as a comment ↓ in this thread ↓, and the rest of the BA team and I can give you feedback on it, or else you can just post directly in the OSD forum. I guess that the post would need a very brief introduction to BA & the context for the toolkit, links to materials, and maybe an image or two, and mention that BA will be participating in [Mozsprint](link to #46 maybe?).

• additionally, introduce yourself on the introductions thread, say why you're interested in OSD, what you're working on, and mention that you're [looking for UX input](link to your UX review request: Beyond Activismo Toolkit thread).

• When you have posted, I will comment on the thread as well, and @ ping specific users who may be able to help you.

Czym się zajmujemy?

Pracujemy nad otwartym projektem, który ma na celu próbę połączenia i dzielenia historii & doświadczeń aktywistów na rzecz praw człowieka, dostarczając te treści w ciekawy i kreatywny sposób w różnych językach.

Problemy, które chcemy rozwiązać:

1. Kiedy w mediach porusza się tematy praw człowieka, opiniotwórcza działalność aktywistów jest często pomijana. Nawet jeśli ich wysiłki przyciągną uwagę w skali świata, są one często niezauważalne, a ich motywy, strategie oraz doświadczenia giną na tle innych głosów.

2. Aktywiści na rzecz praw człowieka na świecie nie mają łatwego zadania w kwestii łączenia się ze sobą i dlatego jest tak ważne, żeby mogli oni się dzielić swoimi doświadczeniami, aby w ten sposób służyć wsparciem innym.

3. Zbieranie i dystrybucja danych jest zbyt dużym zadaniem dla małej grupki osób.

Jakie jest nasze rozwiązanie?

Potraktowawszy wspomniane problemy jako punkt wyjścia, wyszliśmy z inicjatywą stworzenia bezpiecznej, wielojęzycznej platformy internetowej, która w naszym rozumieniu będzie funkcjonowała jako otwarta sieć współpracy pomiędzy ludźmi z całego świata.

Z jednej strony możemy dzielić się uwierzytelnionymi doświadczeniami i historiami aktywistów na rzecz praw człowieka w ciekawy oraz kreatywny sposób, który będzie udokumentowany przez społeczność BA.

Z drugiej strony, aktywiści na rzecz praw człowieka mogą inspirować, wchodzić ze sobą w kontakt, współpracować oraz wspierać siebie nawzajem.

Jak zamierzamy to osiągnąć?

W uproszczeniu nasz plan zakłada stawienie czoła tym problemom za pomocą trzech mechanizmów, które można scharakteryzować następująco:

1. Wywiady: wywiady postrzegamy jako nasz sposób na łączenie się ze sobą. Jest to powód, dla którego wierzymy, że musimy znać historie i doświadczenia aktywistów na rzecz praw człowieka i dzielić się nimi w ciekawy i kreatywny sposób. Ze względu na dużą wagę istoty wywiadów zawsze musimy mieć na uwadze cel ich powstawania. Na ten składają się następująco:

przeszłość aktywistów
powody ich zaangażowania
ich sposoby postrzegania aktywizmu i jego metodologii
ich doświadczenia w zakresie aktywizmu oraz rekomendacje
ich wsparcie w zakresie aktywizmu.
połączenie aktywistów z naszymi czytelnikami, społecznością oraz przyszłymi zainteresowanymi współpracą oraz pracą na rzecz aktywizmu.

Istotne jest również, by wspomnieć, poprawa jakości przedstawianych treści wywiadów jest jednym z naszych celów, które chcemy osiągnąć. Dlatego jest to coś, na co zawsze zwracamy uwagę, zamieszczając na naszej platformie wywiady.

2. Otwarta platforma internetowa: jako że jest to projekt operujący w ramach zasobów internetowych, których zakres docierania do odbiorców należy rozszerzyć na skalę światową, pracujemy na otwartej platformie internetowej, która kieruje się trzema głównymi prawami: Otwartość, Decentralizacja i włączenie odbiorców za pośrednictwem Internetu.

3. Społeczność: w celu osiągnięcia naszych celów musimy zbudować społeczność współdziałaczy, czytelników, aktywistów i ludzi dzielących się swoimi zasobami - wszystkie ich różnorodne umiejętności mogą przynieść korzyść projektowi. Jak wcześniej wspomnieliśmy, wyobrażamy sobie ten projekt jako otwarty, zdecentralizowany z zaangażowaną międzynarodową społecznością... bez silnej społeczności ten projekt nigdy nie osiągnie sukcesu.

Dlaczego współudział w Beyond Activismo jest tak ekscytujący?

Beyond Activismo jest ekscytujący, ponieważ jego cele mają globalny zasięg, a jego społeczność chce tworzyć i dzielić się doświadczeniami oraz historiami aktywistów na rzecz praw człowieka.

Bycie częścią Beyond Activismo daje szansę, żeby coś zmienić, zainspirować innych oraz współpracować z ludźmi o różnorakich umiejętnościach z całego świata, którzy pragną uczynić świat bardziej dostępnym, pomóc innym w odnalezieniu inspiracji i rozwiązań problemów oraz przy okazji przyjaciół.

In order to grow as a project, we'll need to be able to receive donations, at least to pay for our technical infrastructure.

Therefore we need to implement an online payment solution, but we would like to implement a anonymous way of donation. Cryptocurrency may be a way, but we'd like to implement a less techy way. Transaction fees should be as low as possible.

We are searching for solutions on working open with our Wordpress multisite.

Due to our technical infrastructure and secure hosting by Deflect, we are bound to wordpress as a CMS. We also use Wordpress Multisite to offer subsites in different languages.
At the same time we feel, that enableing an open workflow is pretty dificult with Wordpess.

The README is a nice introduction to the project, but I don't get any sense of who the people behind the project are, and why they are motivated to work on it...
I think that your video will help to address this, which is great.

But I wanted to share one more easy idea which you could think about implementing in addition: an introductions thread.

The other project I'm mentoring is We Are All Connected, and they have added an introductions issue for project participants and new contributors to say hi. If you wanted to set up a similar issue, I think the best way to do it would be to call the issue something like Introductions: Welcome to Beyond Activismo! with a short introduction, like the WAC issue:
If you are interested in this project, even if you're not sure how to contribute, please say "Hi" and tell us a bit about yourself, and why you're interested in the topic of activism.
Then each of you can comment on the issue:
