Support for the theme's even if user has renamed the theme

By checking the installed by the class/function from the theme we can support the users who like to change the theme name/ theme directory.

JavaScript Error that happens on the front-end of the BB Page

Hi. I am using a Beaver Builder page builder and Beaver Builder Header Footer. In the page builder the NavBar is ok. In regular view the NavBar has bullets. Here's what Beaver Builder says...

The issue arises from this JavaScript Error that happens on the front-end of the BB Page.

But on a non-BB page, this is not happening at all. Please see this test page I created:

The issue with the bullet can be easily fixed by applying custom CSS, but the main issue here is related to how the Beaver Builder Header Footer Plugin handles the content that you attach to it. The temporary solution would be to add a BB Menu Module to the BB Page and just hide it. This is what I do to the About Us Page. You see the BB Menu Module at the bottom of the page when you edit the page here:

Transparent Header does not work with the Beaver Themer layouts

Transparent Header uses body class fl-builder to make the header transparent. Beaver Themer adds it's own different classes.

Page Meta level options for transparent and sticky header

Transparent header and Sticky header can be enabled or disabled per page.

Beaver Builder Plugin 1.9
Beaver Builder Theme 1.5.3

I get the information like:
"Hey, your current theme is not supported by BB Header Footer, click here to check out the supported themes."
Question is why?

I do use bb-theme but want to change the folder name to something custom but when I do it, the plugin says that the theme is not supported.

BB Footer not appearing in Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge

I'm using BB Header and Footer for a custom footer. Everything appears normally when accessing the website through Chrome, but if I load the webpage through Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer the footer doesn't appear. I'm not sure how to fix this? Thank you very much for your help!

Load the CSS and JS in `wp_enqueue_scripts`

Right now when a template is loaded as header or footer all its assets are enqueued in the <body> where the shortcode was rendered.

BB 1.10 alpha has added a new method FLBuilder::render_content_by_id() which just loads the markup and the assets can be separately enqueued in the wp_enqueue_scripts

Different Headers for Home and Pages or Posts?

I need to have a different Header on the Home Page than what I use on all other pages and posts. Is this possible with BB Header Footer?

Footer displayed but not header

I already posted on wordpress.org, so just in case you miss it (sorry for the duplicate).
Just a little issue for me: i use custom BB global saved rows as header and footer, select these items in BB Header Footer plugin’s options, footer is well displayed but header is not, i can’t figure why.
I use BB 1.8.7.1 plugin Pro version and BB Theme.

Cannot Successfully Select BB Template to be Used as a Header

The instructions on the wordpress plugin page instruct me to:
Design a Page or a Template you wish to use as a Header / Footer
Open the Page Builder settings page
Open the BB Header Footer settings
Select the page or template that you saved to be used as a header.

And when I select that template I've created and named "Header", nothing happens. I suspect that is because of this note:

Note: I am using Beaver Builder Child Theme. I am not using Themer. My other plugin is UABB (paid, not lite)

Shrink header option improvements

Right now shrink header option just removes the row padding, It would be nice if the elements in the header would actually shrink.

"Prioritize visible content" issue with Google's pagespeed on BB 2.0.5.1

Activating the plugin causes PageSpeed to complain about additional roundtrips for above-the-fold content. Same issue with bb-header-footer version 1.1.6 Works well with older BB-versions. Have various versions available for testing if required.

Support Primer theme

Primer theme is the part of Godaddy's onboarding, they also install bb lite version, it would be nice to support primer theme and it's child themes.

Sub-menu Hidden Behind Content

Hi!

So i created a custom header with beaver builder with beaver builder menu module. I set it as the header for the site pages.

If I choose to stay static on top of the page the submenu links appear fine,but if I set it to be sticky and to shrink the submenu links appear behind the content above unless the header has enough height to cover it. But when I scroll down and it shrinks then the submenu links appear just fine. If I set the header transparent I have no issues.

I tried to add custom css setting the overflow visible, position relative, and increasing Z-Index and nothing worked.

Delay shrinking on sticky header

Curious when scrolling down and menu starts to shrink we see the background page (white) wondering if we can slow down the shrinking. It seems the hero image has to catch up to the menu so I am seeing lots of white from background. I have a simple maintenance login page because site is under construction…I tried moving hero image underneath put still needs to catch up on scroll…hope this makes sense.

Use customizer instead of adding new tab in bb's settings

Since adding header and footer is mostly associated with front end and is part os the theme, it would be nice of it is set from the customizer where all the other theme options reside.

Thank you for this amazing plugin.

It used to work perfectly but since the last update, I have a small issue and I am looking for help.

I have created two differents footers (one in english and one in french) to display accordingly.

Now my footer only shows in french or in english depending on what page I choose on the settings options (either the french version or the english version).
So I can either have my footer that displays always in french or always in english. It used to detect the language and display only the appropriate footer but it does not anymore.

Any idea how to fix that ?

hide/disable the header and footer options from themes which no longer work when using this plugin

When creating you are using header from bb-header-footer, options from theme no longer work,
for eg. adding logo won't work as it will be added from the page template.

It would be nice if these options are hidden or at least a not is added informing user that this will not work.

Hi,

This looks great, but I get the error that our theme isn't supported.

We're using the BB Agency plugin and BB Theme but a child theme. The difference might be that we're running WP multisite, and we've network enabled the Child Theme, but not the BB theme (as we don't want sub-sites to be able to choose the BB theme, only the child (hence not activated).

Would it be possible to detect if we're using a child theme?

CSS classes being stripped

The current page item class is being stripped so the menu item is not being highlighted when on the current page. Our site is at http://beachcitytennis.com and if you go from page to page you'll see that the menu item is not highlighted and if you inspect the code, it's missing the current-menu-item and current-page-item classes.

I asked the developers of Beaver Builder directly and in their test it seems to point to a bug in this bb header footer plugin.

If you go here https://cl.ly/3o2G331s2k3H you'll see they created a test page and test menu at the bottom and that one shows the proper current menu item highlighted. You'll notice that the top menu item isn't highlighted and that is the one using the bb header footer plugin settings.

Please help, we've been trying to fix this for 2 weeks now, thanks!

Shrink header breaks the aspect ratio of images

Shrink header option adds max height, to the logo along with that it should also take care of the width of the image

Generatepres compatibility update

Right now generatepress compatibility is based on overriding the functions from the theme. This requires loading the compatibility functions to be loaded before the theme functions load. This prevents changes such as #24

The compatibility should be handled by removing the actions from generatepress.

Footer with Generate Press

When creating a footer page using Generatepress, I select disable footer and the footer page doesn't show up. Good! However, when I allow the footer the footer page shows up below the copyright bar. Is there something I need to do?

Modules In Header Not Working

Menu in header looks fine when editing, but after it's published it shows the dropdown arrows in the incorrect place on large devices and on small devices it shows the menu as an empty button that does nothing, even though it's set to display as a hamburger icon with a flyout menu. It has worked previously and occasionally has broken, but would be fixed if I republished it. However, this time it's not getting fixed

Assigning Header / Footer from template does not load it's assets

To reproduce add a menu module in a header created in the BB's template custom post type and assign that as a header.
