Not working on CKAN 2.8 or higher about ckanext-hierarchy HOT 6 CLOSED

I fixed the issue and it works for me on CKAN 2.8.1, please see #26

Is this fixed? I am currently running CKAN 2.8.2, and I have the problem described when I enable the hierarchy_display extension. I see no errors in the logs, but I get the 500 Internal Server Error on the home page (and some of the dashboard pages). Everything else works, all other pages, creating organizations, datasets, groups...

Worth noting I do have the Scheming extension installed, so I do not have hierarchy_form installed, only hierarchy_display. I followed the steps provided for installing hierarchy with scheming.

I did try to fix the issues on CKAN 2.8 but as you can see my pull request is still open: #26
There are other recent pull requests fixing issues that are still open, I tried to include these changes on my pull request #26 maybe you can check if that works.

Are you running CKAN on debug mode? there has to be an error :)

@rsalas82 Thanks for raising this! Referring to @espona 's work, I've added CKAN 2.8 compatibilty #37 and a fix for the home page #38. Do flag any other issues you spot.
