In Chrome, the background to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cncf/landscape/master/trail_map/CNCF_TrailMap_latest.png shows as black. Can you please change it to white. I don't think it ever needs to be transparent.
Please add PNGs of all color horizontal logos, color stacked logos and all icons to the Readme. The CNCF horizontal PNG should link to https://github.com/cncf/artwork/tree/master/cncf/horizontal/color
Please feel free to do a couple and ask for my feedback before going forward.
Visit https://github.com/cncf/artwork/blob/master/examples/sandbox.md#kubevela-logos and you'll see:
All of the horizontal images fail to render (due to 404s) as are some of the other PNGs.
Also change what's linked from the Readme. I merge the PR when K8s 1.11 ships next week.
This issue was first notes in #10.
Please create logos for the 3 KCCNC events in 2019. No need to add them to the Readme.
Every URL in the Readme is pointing to your fork instead of the main repo. You need to use relative URLs.
Change every URL of https://github.com/alexcontini/artwork/blob/master/prometheus/horizontal/color/prometheus-horizontal-color.png to /master/prometheus/horizontal/color/prometheus-horizontal-color.png
Start with just one to confirm the relative URLs are working correctly. Please Slack me with questions.
Separately, you seem to be using an undocumented feature of GitHub in accessing https://github.com/alexcontini/artwork/blob/master/prometheus/horizontal/color/prometheus-horizontal-color.png (which normally serves HTML) instead of https://raw.githubusercontent.com/alexcontini/artwork/master/prometheus/horizontal/color/prometheus-horizontal-color.png (which just serves the PNG). But it's working, so it's probably not worth changing.
As a CNCF Ambassador, I would like to use "cropped" CNCF logo for various promotion activities.
Unfortunately, it is not provided under CNCF directory.
"Cropped" logo sample.
๐ Hello,
the certified logo for Kubernetes 1.23 is missing from here.
Could you please add it?
Thanks
Could we get a readme.md added to this repo that covers logo use by members?
https://github.com/cncf/artwork/tree/master/cncf
something along the lines of this:
http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/networking/trademarkusageguidelines
and include this as well:
https://github.com/opencontainers/artwork/blob/master/LICENSE
So member's corporate marketing team's feel a bit more comfortable about using the logo on their sites
The Helm Logo's bottom section is reflected into the top of the wheel when loaded with Adobe Illustrator 24.2.3 (tested on MacOS 10.15.7).
Jaeger on the stacked SVG looks distorted to me: https://rawgit.com/cncf/artwork/master/jaeger/stacked/color/jaeger-stacked-color.svg
The bottom of the J is a different width, as are different parts of the R.
The PNG version looks fine. Could you please double check vs. the AI and see if recreating the SVGs fixes the issue.
Would it be possible to have images of the Pravega bird without the text Pravega - Realiable...

Hey,
to support diversity in our community I was wondering if the artwork team can help to create diverse logos of the cncf projects. Can it?
I'm updating icon for Vitess project.
I found them in here cncf/artwork, but they have name "vitesse" - is this OK?
Project name is "Vitess"...
I don't believe this is intended. The eyes will be the colour of the background. I think same goes for the eyebrows.

Hi
The TUF, Rook and TiKV had already been graduated project.
But those 3 projects are still incubating project in this repository.

Hi, I was investigating a problem with Kubernetes SVG icon used by DevStats, see: test server vs prod server
The test server has an additional white "b" letter visible under the K8s SVG icon. What is more interesting is that it cannot be seen when displaying an icon in a separate page (probably due to white background): direct link to broken svg, also displaying that SVG in GitHub does not show this "b" letter.
I've manually fixed that on prod server by editing SVG file in vim (changing first path
object into patha
object which is the same as removing first path
object):
Changed to:
I was wondering what exactly this path object is, so I've installed Inkscape
app to see and it's clearly visible that path
object with id="bbbbbbb"
is outside of the main viewport.
There is probably the same problem with black and white SVG icons too, maybe also other files where its-pronounced
property was added recently.

Hi team!
I just wanted to know if you have plans to post/create new logos for the certified Kubernetes 1.20?
I can not find it here: https://github.com/cncf/artwork/tree/master/projects/kubernetes/certified-kubernetes
Thanks!
Please put the stacked and horizontal ambassador logos on their own row on the Readme.
Please avoid all spaces in file and directory names and instead use spinal-case.
Specifically, change gradient color
to color
in https://github.com/cncf/artwork/blob/master/coredns/stacked/gradient%20color/core-dns-stacked-color.png and solid color
to solid-color
.
Please look for any other examples of caps or non-spinal-case.
Hi,
I have been looking at the License and at the linked trademark usage page here: https://www.linuxfoundation.org/trademark-usage/ in order to figure out if its allowed to get the logos printed as stickers/magnets to give out at events. I know you point to certain logos being available in a CNCF online store, but when that is not sufficient are you allowed to get them printed yourself?
For clarity, this is for giving away at local cloud native community events for free.
I just want to make sure its not a copyright infringement.
Thanks!
Please change the all logos from snake_case to spine-case. https://github.com/cncf/artwork/blob/master/kubernetes/certified-kubernetes/1.9/color/certified_kubernetes_1.9_color.png should be https://github.com/cncf/artwork/blob/master/kubernetes/certified-kubernetes/1.9/color/certified-kubernetes-1.9-color.png
Please then update https://github.com/cncf/k8s-conformance/blob/master/README.md
Is it possible to add a LICENSE
file with either a license or a instruction on how to use the logos?
(A LICENSE
file is the convention most GitHub users are used to.)
I was just looking for a CNCF and Kubernetes logo to add to a presentation, and now I am not sure under which conditions I am allowed to use the logos in this repo.
Hello, our product recently passed conformance testing for Kubernetes 1.21, and we usually grab the logo from the following repo. However, I didnโt see 1.21 in there. I was wondering if anyone had this?

As you can see from https://www.cncf.io/archived-projects/, OpenTracing artwork should be moved under the archived section.
This will make them more usable in a variety of contexts.
Hello,
With 1.19 out, can we get a 1.19 certified logo?
Thanks!
Hi @amye and @poconnor1,
(I'm not sure here is the right place to get help about artwork from CNCF service).
We are the team behind the sandbox project vineyard and we are in the onboarding process. It seems that CNCF could help on artwork artifacts and we would like to know could CNCF help us to convert our logo (in .ai
format) to required variant versions (horizontal, stacked, icon, and png/svg formats)?
I have uploaded our logo's AI file in this issue.
Thanks!
Flagger (a Flux project) logos are currently only available at https://github.com/fluxcd/flagger/tree/main/docs/logo
It'd be good if they were in https://github.com/cncf/artwork/tree/master/projects as well, so the Flagger
entry in https://github.com/cncf/landscape/blob/master/landscape.yml and https://github.com/cncf/cncf-branding could refer to them too.
CC @bia and @stefanprodan
https://www.cncf.io/certification/kcna/ logo is missing from the certs page
It would be really handy to have a Visio stencil with these logos in them.
Well, either we should move the resources, or reorganize the resources so that we don't have to move when a project's status changes.
Cf. https://www.cncf.io/blog/2021/08/26/opentelemetry-becomes-a-cncf-incubating-project/
Unless there's some reason to keep it around.
we want convert exist k8s service format to helm, but remain k8s service
we excute the command:
helm install topevents --set AppName=topevents,Environment=prod,ServiceArea=analyticsservices ./
Error: rendered manifests contain a resource that already exists. Unable to continue with install: Deployment "topevents" in namespace "analyticsservices-prod" exists and cannot be imported into the current release: invalid ownership metadata; annotation validation error: key "meta.helm.sh/release-name" must equal "topevents": current value is "topenvents"
yes, i know why.
but just want to know how to solve this issue.
Prometheus Logo don't have the text. Kubernetes have the logo plus the text in .svg format.
OpenTracing SVG file is not centered.
See this (GIMP):

Please take the new artwork at https://github.com/cloudevents/spec/tree/master/artwork and convert it into our standard formats here and replace what we have. Once the PR has been merged, please open a PR on https://github.com/cloudevents/spec/tree/master/artwork to delete that directory and instead reference this repo. Then ask Taylor to order new stickers at https://store.cncf.io/collections/cloudevent

I found this corrupt SVG: https://github.com/cncf/artwork/blob/master/other/cka/color/kubernetes-cka-color.svg
When saved and loaded in Chrome it gives the error "This page contains the following errors: error on line 81 at column 115: Namespace prefix inkscape for groupmode on g is not defined
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error."
Please fix and then manually review the rest of the SVGs in GitHub to ensure that the rest of them are correct.
Please rename gradient-color to color.
It's coredns not core-dns.
change _ to -
Then update the filterable-landscape yaml to match.
Happens again, it was fixed some time ago.

@alexcontini You converted the SVG from Ashley into PNGs. This produces some transparency around the border at https://github.com/cncf/artwork/blob/master/other/illustrations/ashley-mcnamara/cncf-cloud-gophers.png but the center of the picture is white.
However, Ashley's version of the PNG had transparency everywhere for white, causing printing on grey to look like: https://twitter.com/phennex/status/932698316068081666
@ashleymcnamara as the artist, could you please tell us how to best handle transparency. Ashley, also note that the PNG you originally sent looks fine on desktop Twitter at https://twitter.com/dankohn1/status/930057718785888256 but on a phone the transparent background shows as black. I converted the PNG to a JPEG and reposted in a reply to avoid that issue.
Here's the PNG Ashley prepared:
And here's a screenshot of my tweet looking bad in Twitter on iOS:
Any suggestions?
prometheus/prometheus_grey_transparent.png
is orange rather than grey.

This will be a sandbox project in CNCF.
The lines in the KCCNC white logo are almost invisible here because of lack of contrast with the background: https://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/kubecon-cloudnativecon-north-america-2018/
Should we make the lines thicker?
