linapple-pie's Issues

switches -1/-2 on RetroPie

Im curious as to where the -1/-2 swtiches should be place. According to the readme-linapple-pie they are availiable but not sure how.

??@@??@@ when loading .dsk images

After loading any .dsk file and pressing reset I get a page of symbols. I have tried typing run etc with no luck. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong here? This is running on a C.H.I.P.

Raspberry Pi 3 A+ running OS Lite, can't use switch commands

Distributor ID: Raspbian
Description: Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
Release: 10
Codename: buster
Issue: Running the command line switches does nothing, from what it seems. I have tried both from SSH as well as local to the machine.
The sets of commands I have tried, following your documentation are:
linapple --autoboot --d1 /home/pi/demo.dsk
linapple --d1 /home/pi/demo.dsk -f --autoboot
linapple --d1 /home/pi/demo.dsk -f -b
linapple --d1 /home/pi/demo.dsk --autoboot
linapple --d1 /home/pi/demo.dsk -b
linapple -1 /home/pi/demo.dsk -f --autoboot
linapple -1 /home/pi/demo.dsk -f -b
linapple -1 /home/pi/demo.dsk --autoboot
linapple -1 /home/pi/demo.dsk -b

I have also tried running as sudo commands. No matter what I run, it seems like it ignores everything after "linapple"
Running the latest version as of 8/15/2021

Need to get Paste working

This functionality is commented out in the keyboard code. Can it be implemented please? Needed for some software development.

feature: volume preference

Add a configuration pair for setting the volume in SDL (provided that's possible).

Retropie exposes alsamixer, but that's an OS master volume, and the emulators are of different loudness. When the Apple II spits huge transients out, if they're loud it could damage speakers (cringing over here). I figure the code that halves the #defined MAX VOLUME speaks to that.

Raspberry Pi 3 A+ RPiOS Buster Lite, linapple doesn't recognise bluetooth kb

Distributor ID: Raspbian
Description: Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
Release: 10
Codename: buster
Bluetooth keyboard: Royal Kludge RK61
Issue: Raspberry Pi 3 A+, I connect a bluetooth keyboard and it works fine, but as soon as I run linapple, it doesn't register keystrokes from the bluetooth keyboard.
Note: It will work fine with that same keyboard connected as a USB keyboard.

is mapping joystick axis0 and axis1 to the axis4 and axis5 possible?

Hello,
I use the linapple on my Retropie (raspberry pi 3b+ with an Ultimarc ipac2 keyboard encoder ).
Ipac2 interface is emulating / encoding arcade joysticks and buttons as two gamepads (Dinput mode).
If I test with jstest under retropie command line my joystick showing six axises but if iI move joystick there is physically onl three axises are existing= axises 2, 4 and 5 (axis 0, 1 and 3 not really existing).
I can edit nano /opt/retropie/configs/apple2/linapple.conf to change or remap buttons and the axises.
But if I change the joy0axis0 = 0 to the joy0axis0 = 4 and the joy0axis1 = 1 to the joy0axis1 = 5 nothing happens.
Maybe the linapple is not listening to the joystick which has more than 4 axises?
Because if I change the joy0axis0 = 0 to the joy0axis0 = 2 its working.
Is there any solution or hints how can I solve this issue?

Kind Regards
Niyazi
