A serious isue has been noticed in latest Version (V0.8) plz. Battery voltages drops immediately during Tx and resumes after. My Talkie's display vanished two times. After that I installed stock firmware, there was no such issue.

Someone's pointed out that the full charge lithium battery voltage is 8.4V (which is correct). But your little percent function is saying 8.15V is 100% full.

I've done a battery cal using a DMM, so the voltage the radio is saying is now correct (it was actually quite a bit out), that's assuming the battery on the back doesn't have any series diodes to the two gold terminals at the bottom of the battery (where I measure the battery voltage from).

the rssi bar is too hard to reach the end. why not using the more common style like this?

Frequency capture is turned off when the subtone is defined. There is no such problem in firmware 1-11

Cannot put eg. 470 MHz into VFO. Tried on the latest egzumer release.

Its may be because of broken AGC.

In the version v0.12 you changed this - Fixed restoring channel number/frequency on scan exit

is it possible to return in the new software so that after exit of scaning, it does not return to the last channel before scanning, but stays on the channel where the scan stopped, this was a good solution when the radio found a active station, then after pressing the exit it stayed on this frequency and now returns to channel that was set before the scanning has started.
If it won't be changed, can I change it myself? Where can i find this ?

there is a problem with TX Disable on closed frequency ranges, the label does not disappear until the channel is switched and the transmission starts at the allowed frequency, also with warning labels such as Busy maybe something with the label timeout, I can't figure out how to fix it

Can you add the function of 2nd PTT to the F1shrt or F2shrt options to transmit the second frequency, so that those in need can freely choose from multiple functions，that you can choose monitor，others can choose the functions they need.

If this leads to excessive firmware volume, options can be added to the makefile to allow users to decide whether to add 2ndPTT

There is a ready-made font from mbg, maybe it can be used in the firmware. I attach screenshots and the font itself. Of course, everything is at your discretion.

I inform you that Spectrum keep freezing while switching to AM.
For example: VFO 135.450mhz - F5 - 0

Fagci spectrum analyzer sometime hangs and makes QS not responsive until power reboot. Just to play with analyzer to reproduce.

Problem in Strong signal reception .
Cutting in Rx in v.14.
(Signal -47 +20, cutting started when receiving audio)

Hello, thanks so much for adding the Band A/B shortcut key. What a time saver. Is there any way to also add a shortcut item for switching between VFO / Memory?

I like new Smeter looks, but I noticed that when the squelch is set to 0 or pressing the side monitor button, the smeter shows a high S level instead do two or three lines more consistent with background noise

How can I save the changes in makefile .I want to make my custom bin file for myself.

When entering a frequency - button [5] in the spectrum the numbers entered are wrong. Eg press 1, 2 comes up, press 0, 1 comes up on screen and so on.

Not sure if its the Spectrum or a small bug??

Spectrum is not properly working onUhf band.

I am missing the 1750 hz, which I had programmed under long-press Second Function key.

No compile option of f-calibration. Yesterday it was available

Two k5s, A is the original firmware, B is v0.14.1 firmware.
both same freq eg438.500, both with DTMF (D Decd) turned on. After this setting, B calls A ,A only light and no sound,
but both with DTMF (D Decod) turned off become normal

Dear Developer:
I found a bug when i input a offset config，it can be reviewed by these steps: (version: v0.13)
1. go to menu 'TxOffs', and then into edit,
2. (example ,the target offset is 8MHz, then i should input '008.000') then, input 008.000
3. it will display wrong~ then tried input '800.000',it display '008.000'.
i think this is not a feature ,may be it is a bug~: )
by the way, this project is very nice, i really love it, it gives a normal radio more way to play~~ thanks! ; )

the actual setting is 100x smaller than input.
if i set 700Mhz, the actual offset will be 7Mhz

V11 release
I noticed that when an external mic is connected the radio will not tx using mic PTT on a busy channel/active repeater.
BCL set to OFF.
The PTT on the radio will tx the radio on a busy channel with external mic connected.
The PTT on external mic will tx radio on inactive channels.
I have tried multiple external mics, all with the same result.

I understand from some of your comments it may not be possible to add any new Spectrum versions.... So this is just a curiosity question more than anything. SO please do not see this as and issue, or request.

Is therer a possiblily to add the options seen in the screen shot

They have been in the now removed refactor spectrum version for some time and curious as to the possibility of having them in Your FW as they would be useful.

Again d not take this as a request just curious if possible..

Hello EGZUMER! Congratulations on your work, I really appreciate your firmwares. In v0.12 I noticed a loss of sensitivity in AM airband reception. I live near an airport and after this update reception decreased a lot. I hope I'm helping with my feedback! TKS

PS.: The functions added to the menu were very good, especially the reorganization and programming of the side keys!

First I have to thank you for the best all-around firmware for these radios. Keep doing the great job!

And about the problem:

Findings from the current version of your software (egzumer-UV-K5 1of11+fagci_ 25.10.23v1.packed.bin). I noticed a change in AM reception regarding aviation frequencies. The sound is quieter, and there are noises that have not appeared in previous software versions. Kind of windy, swirly(?) sound during reception, that I have no heard before. And also I have to adjust the volume all the way up so that I can hear anything properly at all. On the other hand, now I can hear weaker signals more clearly (e.g. -90dbi - -100dbi), which I haven't heard properly before. I switched back to the previous software version (egzumer-UV-K5 1of11+fagci_ 22.10.23v1.packed), and the AM reception went back to "normal".

The one with the "normal" reception, was with quite an old firmware (with the AM fix on), However It compares qualitatively with other older software when it comes to AM reception.
Firmware bins that I have been using are downloaded from the tha Quansheng UV-K5 Firmwares -Telegram channel.

In the V0.8 version, after pressing the * key to input 3 number, PTT transmission did not respond, and DTMF code cannot be sent

After entering item 51（BATVOL） of the menu, the automatic lock screen cannot be unlocked

When you were integrating the OneOfEleven firmware, the addition of the scan list function in the OneOfEleven firmware “keypad-5/NOAA button now toggles scanlist-1 on/off for current channel when held down - IF NOAA not used” was covered by fagci spectrum analyzer (F+5 to turn on), so I was wondering if you could use F+keypad-7 to complete toggles scanlist-1 on/off for current channel when held down, as the VOX function is not commonly used.

In addition, keypad-8 or 9 are not very commonly used and can be used to arrange other functions
