They're being maintained and the primary goal is for the indicators to work in as many distros as possible. This would simplify packaging efforts as well.

Submenus in ayatana indicators are not displaying in wingpanel.

For an example, try indicator-powersave.

The indicators appear in the panel, and can be used, but submenus are empty.

These menus work fine in lxpanel and older versions of wingpanel/wingpanel-indicator-ayatana (like those available in elementary's PPAs)

i take notice that everytime i quit an application from indicator/tray, the slot still remain and empty, and if i run the same application, it will use a new slot, these occur on mine with qbittorrent, megasync and dropbox

On a touch screen, tapping a second indicator after opening the first closes it right after. It should keep the new one active ;)

I tried the following notes application: https://standardnotes.org/, after trying if i saw my wingpanel is gone. Uninstalling all indicators solved the problem. Wingpanel started again. All indicators are installable again, but trying this one breaks my wingpanel since then.

When I start multiple instances of RetroShare using "-c <profile_directory>" commandline switch (https://retroshare.github.io), wingpanel crashes with a segmentation fault. Each RetroShare instance should put an icon in system tray, but there's only one system tray icon, that belongs to the last instance launched, so it's impossible to reach tray icons and windows of previously launched instances.
This bug is related only to Loki series, and is absent in Freya.

In Loki-Beta1, when I click on the Skype icon almost every time it gets either empty or deleted and sometimes when it gets deleted it shows a Slingshot Launcher for a short period of time. Rarely I can get normal menu. The empty menu is still clickable but there is no text just highlighted lines. First one is Activate and the last one is Quit and they work,the text is just not visible.

Oh yeah okay, well I saw this issue on g-plus, & wondered what the heck this indicator is for ?

Is is an applet or something for the HUD ?

Please explain what wingpanel-indicator-ayatana is for and what categories it comes in and around (beneath) ?

Wondering around the eos AppCenter & searching for "panel" ....

I found something to do with stack exchange ....

but is this something to-do with CPU Frequ. ?
