ags-snap's Issues

Updated ags in the stable channel

Hi, I noticed the snap of ags in the stable channel is a little outdated. I noticed you have a newer version in the edge channel. Is there anything blocking the promotion of 3.5x to stable?

Rejected from snap store for missing Icon and Desktop file

Rejected by -- “desktop interfaces (x11) specified without a corresponding meta/gui/.desktop file. If using snapcraft, please see https://snapcraft.io/docs/build-snaps/metadata#fixed-assets. Otherwise, please provide a desktop file in meta/gui/.desktop (it should reference one of the 'apps' from your snapcraft/snap.yaml)

following this page, it says :

Fixed assets

Desktop files

You can declare a desktop file from your app within an apps entry using a path relative to the prime directory pointing to a desktop file, snapcraft will take care of the rest. If your project already has a desktop file, say in /usr/share/applications/my-app.desktop all you need to do is the following:

apps:
    my-app:
        command: my-app
        desktop: usr/share/applications/my-app.desktop

Alternatively, you can create a snap/gui/ directory at the root of your snapcraft project to host a desktop file:

snap/gui/<app-name>.desktop
snapcraft.yaml
Where <app-name> is the entry corresponding to apps in snapcraft.yaml.

Package icons

To use an icon to represent your snap, just declare a PNG or SVG in snapcraft.yaml through an icon entry with a path relative to the icon inside the snap.

icon: project/src/images/icon.png

TODO : find an icon and create a desktop file of just the engine.

AGS midipatch don't work with snap-ags Engine.

Hi,
the gus midi patch: https://liballeg.org/digmid.html dosn't work with the snap version of ags. I try to install so : "sudo snap install ags --edge --devmode" (--devmode just to execute files in my home directory) and try to extrakt digmid.dat to patches.dat and lay it in the /home/user and/or the directory of the game and had timidity installed but snap-ags don't play midi-sound. If i use an precompiled ags engine from every were in the home directory "/home/user" the patch work with it.
How do i use the Midi patch (patches.dat) with AGS Engine from you're snap?
