This is the source code for the game DLL of the Quake 2's 25th anniversary UNIT.

How to build

  1. Download and install Visual Studio 2019.
  2. Use the Visual Studio installer to modify the Visual Studio 2019 installation in order to add the C++ MFC for latest v142 build tools (x86 & x64) component.

  1. Open missionpack.dsp with Visual Studio 2019 and allow it to convert the project file.

  2. Switch from Debug to Release for x86 then go into the Build menu and hit Build Solution.

  1. May need to Build Solution again if it gives an error regarding the pointer table list file.

Odd settings glitch when running in Yamagi Quake

Having a really weird issue with this map pack where it has invert mouse turned on by default and I can't turn it off, it just re-enables itself if I leave the options menu. The only way to make it stick is to disable it and then go to the console, then close it. And every time I finish a map or load a save, it re-enables itself anyway.

I'm running it in Yamagi 8.20, for the record. And no, I don't encounter the same issue if I run the vanilla game through the same port.

Fails to start on q2pro-speed

The map pack fails to run on q2pro-speed r1762´´1991850. I followed the instructions and put xatrix & rogue paks into the folder as pak0 and pak1 (tried swapping them, didn't work). The exact same folder works with v3.24. Maybe gamex86.dll should be different for q2pro's enhanced savestates?

Can't find pic: p_jet

Getting spammed by this message in the console when browsing items and having jetpack shown. Also the texture is empty.

Empty item in inventory

The game gives an empty item, which is probably a weapon. When used, player has no weapon and cannot shoot.

"map techbased" crashes the game on Yamagi 8.20

Arrived at the point in the game where I opened the portal after acquiring the "5 keys", but the game crashes when entering in it. The "current" savegame tries to load "techbased", so I tried to load it manually, and again, the game crashes.
Logs don't provide anything useful:

That's it. I'm using the DLL you've included in your release. Anything you need to troubleshoot this, just ask.
This occurs with official Yamagi 8.20 release, and the latest "master" branch, manually compiled. I haven't tried to compile your DLL since I don't have VS 2019.

Top Secret Base revisit issue

When revisiting the level, the 2nd part of it is still filled with lava after first visit and using teleporter teleports user into lava, making it impossible to leave the level, softlocking the player in.
Using a techonology such as noclip won't help either, because the final teleporter will no longer work.

Softlock in Human Detainment

When finishing and leaving the map I can still enter the map, but cannot leave it anymore. Both teleporters are broken.

1000 second jetpack?

When picked up & refilled with fuel, it's given for 1000 seconds. With the ability to toggle it on/off, that's basically permanent. Was this intended?
