memusg's Issues

`ps --sid` not supported on OSX

On OSX 10.8.5 I get the following error message repeated whilst the command is running.

ps: illegal option -- -
usage: ps [-AaCcEefhjlMmrSTvwXx] [-O fmt | -o fmt] [-G gid[,gid...]]
          [-g grp[,grp...]] [-u [uid,uid...]]
          [-p pid[,pid...]] [-t tty[,tty...]] [-U user[,user...]]
       ps [-L]

ps manual for OSX

Looks like a great utility.

Thanks!

"-o" and "-d" in the target command's arguments

If the arguments of the command to be analyzed also include "-o" or "-d" options, they will not be passed on correctly.
Maybe you should restrict these options to being typed only before the actual target command line.
Thanks!

PeakRSS instead of PeakVMM?

Hello!
I just found your "memusg" tool and it seems really handy.

Is it possible to measure the Peak/Maximum Resident Set Size (VmHWM?) instead of the Peak VmSize?
It's because the RSS memory corresponds to the real used physical RAM memory, which sometimes is a better indicator than the virtual memory (which is RAM + Swap).

Thank you very much for your attention.
And keep up the good work!
