More on mlt related errors: I tried shotcut, it shows same errors about mlt, but as far as I have tried it, works fine

Would it be possible for you test on Gnome DE (Gnome Shell)? I'm trying to establish if this is depended on DE when using X11. So far the reported BAD systems with X11 are i3wm and Openbox, I want to know some more mainline DEs still work.
