Home directory (~) is not understood in the config file about macchina HOT 6 CLOSED

Well it's not necessarily a fault in macchina, but the way paths are handled by TOML.

I could however try and make ~ expand to /home/$USER in the future.

The config files are user-specific, so 2 different users talking about "my-ascii" don't talk about the same file: In a configuration file, having the ability to use a ~ path is really important.

You've already made your point clear in a previous comment and I said we'd try and expand ~ to /home/$USER.
