Boruta uses ranger, which itself uses all CPUs by default. It seems that there's no way to pass the number of threads to ranger through the boruta function. Thus, running boruta uses all threads on a machine, which is NOT ok for shared servers where many individuals must share the computational resources. Members of my department are running boruta on large datasets and monopolizing our server as a result.

Is there actually a way to limit the threads that ranger is using within the boruta function? If not, can you please add this feature to boruta?

I had a problem, I had a data frame with one column which had a number: 1.762941. This number occurs the error when I changed the number of digits to 2 the problem was solved.

I have quickly read through the change logs of the last versions, but I was unable to find any specific reason why the two methods getConfirmedFormula and getNonRejectedFormula are not exported any longer.

Since they are apparently useful for a set of purposes (e.g. to build models based on the derived formulae), I suggest that they might be added again in future versions.
