digital-servo's Issues

okFrontPanel.cpp & FrontPanel SDK > 4.0.8

Hi David,

Do you have details on how we could upgrade the compatibility for not needing the .cpp file?

Opal Kelly do not offer SDK 4.0.8 - but:
FrontPanel SDK (PCI, v4.1.0, 2012-05-08), or
FrontPanel SDK (USB, v3.1.6, 2010-10-07)

The current version is FRONTPANEL SDK (USB, V5.0.1 - 2018-06-13)

Best, Chris

Don't forget to remove FB2

I'm abusing the Issue system to remind prospective users of the digital servo about an easy to overlook configuration step.

As shipped by OpalKelly the FPGA has FB2 installed. In this configuration +3.3 V is supplied to VCCO bank 0 which is suitable for single-ended IO. Differential signaling for IO on bank 0 requires +2.5 V supplied to the power pins for VCCO0. For the NIST Servo PCB, +2.5 V comes from net DVDD25 and is routed to the OpalKelly expansion connectors. Removing FB2 makes the OpalKelly use +2.5 V from the expansion connectors.

The github instructions indicate removal of FB2 is required. With FB2 installed, USB to FPGA communication is fine but the LVDS interface to ADCs and DACs is erratic. The GUI does not generate an error message.

Matlab script for measuring transfer function

@dleibrandt Can you share a sample script for calculating the transfer function from the files generated by the "measure transfer function" tool in GUI? I was able to read in single files in Matlab with the readSuperLaserLandSimplePI. But I don't know how to combine all the files.
Thanks a lot!

a bias voltage

When I try to use the digital-servo-box to lock a cavity by the PDH method , I meet a problem. I use the AIN1 as the error signal input, Meanwhile, I use the AOUT2HV as the feedback to the pzt of the cavity. But when I disabled the Sweep of the AOUT2HV with the Filter enabled, there is a bias voltage about 10V in the AOUT2HV. Why? How I solve the problem? Thank you.

notch filter

Hi David,

I am sorry to trouble. When I used the loop filter, I enabled the notch filter. But I could not find the existence of the notch filter. Would you mind giving me some advice to solve the problem? Thank you.

Best, Emily
